Children of our Tribe is all about connecting our Children with the Tribe ‘siblings’ of their parents (the equivalent of their Tribe ‘aunts’ and ‘uncles’) and also with the other Children, and also to connect the parents more for the mutual benefit of all: the kids, the parents, and the ‘siblings.’ When I say ‘Tribe’ I mean the SFBay-MFC-IK-YogaTaiChi-Breaks-Playa and periphery. You know who we are.

We are organizing events that will totally focus on the Children, such as a weekend gathering at Frogwood and also smaller events like a few hours in Goldengate Park, etc. We also are hoping to have Kid events within bigger events, like at some of the outdoor weekend parties/gatherings in the SF Bay Area.

We would like to foster/nurture the connection with the Kids and the Tribe in general, but also we would like to open it up and see what kids and aunts/uncles naturally gravitate toward each other, and tend toward ‘adopting’ each other. There is so much that our Kids can give us and so much that we all can give our Kids. As we all know, “It takes a Village to raise a Child,” and so this Tribe on Tribe.net can be our virtual village square, where people can post times and places where they can be with Kids and what activities they will present or what skills they can teach the Child. Or perhaps a parent needs help with a Child: needs a few hours or a day away, or wants something specific taught to their child, or their child needs coaching in algebra or poi or whatever.

I would like to make a list here, in this Tribe description, of the names of the Parent(s), the Child, their age, gender, and location. Nikila, Brook and I, etc, have brainstormed a bit and I talked to a few of the parents so I will list them now. But feel free to fill in the blanks! For now I will list them by age. Also, feel free to post pics of the Kids!
