Two workshops are available
The first taught by Tempest starts at 1:00-3:30
Nouveau Noir Dance
-Nouveau Noir Dance – Haunting audiences around the globe, Tempest’s area of specialty within the realm of Gothic Bellydance is “Nouveau Noir” – dance pieces that reflect the art and society of the early 1900’s, pulling from silent films, vaudeville-Denishawn style, art nouveau, art deco, and the Oriental craze. Students will learn combinations that capture the elegant form, fluid movement, and dramatic stylings of these eras, while being taught in a format that will enable them to absorb them into their own personal choreographies.
The second taught by Tim Rayborn
"Dance for the Music, Music for the Dance"
This dynamic workshop is for both dancers and musicians. It is geared to enable dancers to become more comfortable with dancing to live music, while aiding musicians to be more attentive and in synch with the dancers for a more cohesive and integrated experience.
Fees: $45.00 if payment received before April 1st 2009 $50.00 after
Both workshops: $80.00 for both if paid before April 1st and $90.00 after
Workshops at Studio Elite 451 West 200 South
Show at Star Hall
7-9pm
tickets $10.00
Performance slots are availabe and workshops participation is required.

Thu, April 16, 2009 - 10:00 AMWe have revised the Durga Tour day a little. There will be 3 workshops..Starting at 9 and ending at 3:30. They are $45.00 each or $100 for all three!! I am asking that I receive your music by May 15th if you are performing. There are still openings for both the workshops and the show...we would love to have you. All the information is on the website.. www.desertveils.org . It is easy to pay now through pay pal! Remember if you want to perform one workshop is a must.
If you are planning to come on Friday let me know and we can party in the desert.
