Hey everyone
I am posting a desperate plea for assistance in finding available lodging in Moab for the Tribal Sands fun fest!
Our troupe travel agent has looked everywhere and all hotels, motels, and campgrounds appear to be booked at this time!!
There will be a minimum of three of us beautiful fun bellydancers from troupe Jasmir- as of right now we have not had confirmation from anyone else in our tribe. Based on who I know is too busy to come, I'd say there might be a MAX of 4 of us.
So if you know of a secret campsite or B&B that isn't too pricey or a secret empty condo or something that we could crash at for Fri/Sat night- Please please please email me

We'd be willing to reimburse whoever in the form of wine, beer, sustinence, sparkly things, or oh I guess money!

Mon, August 11, 2008 - 5:14 AMWe have rooms reserved at Motel 6 .... tell them you are with the Belly Dancers! call..435--259-6686. There are 3 left I believe. Also the Bowen Motel has rooms for us..259-7132. Do it asap! $89.00+tax .More rooms are available Sat. night. -

The guy at the bowen motel didn't know what I was talking about for Tribal sands/bellydance rooms. Said they were all booked anyway.
We'll make do- thank you for the inside info, though! Otherwise we'd be homeless scraggly bellydancers on the streets with all of our bags and sparkly things hanging off of our fake hair!!

Thu, August 21, 2008 - 10:50 AMWell, I work at the Super 8 in Moab, and when I checked the computer as of yesterday, there were 18 rooms available for Saturday, Sept 20, and even more on Friday, the 19th. $109.99/night. -

Sat, August 23, 2008 - 4:57 AMThat would work, except a credit card is needed to guarantee anything. They won't do any reservations without one.
If you have means for that, I'd just call in the morning and claim some of the ones still left. Then folks who want them can call separately and change the name and credit card on the rooms they want to claim. We do that all the time. If any are unused, make sure they are cancelled more than 24 hours before the arrival so you won't get charged for them! There are just 6 rooms left for Saturday night at this point, and 10 for Friday, as of this morning (Saturday Aug 23). I hope some of the ones taken since last time I checked have been claimed by Tribal Sands folks!

Sat, August 23, 2008 - 5:38 AMOk ...we have 4 rooms reserved under Tribal Sands..when you check in change the name to your name. They are at a Tribal Sands discount which comes to $111.17 tax included! They will be reserved until Sept. 17th. Let me know if anyone takes any of these rooms..I can reserve more. Tue, August 26, 2008 - 3:44 PMI have a room reserved at the Apache but I'm no longer coming down because my sister will be in Salt Lake from Dallas that weekend. I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem to change the name on the reservation. Email me if you're interested. I believe it is a room with 2 double beds for Friday and Saturday night. It is $65+tax.
