amazing...

thank you to everyone who came out on saturday night for the memorial. thank you for giving me the opportunity to say my peace. and thank you to the person who gave me the hug...i wish i could put a name to the face. i'm terrible with remembering names. thank you to whomever made the charms, and to whomever thought of the book to pass around.

after the memorial i went back to my truck and sat on the tailgate and thought about the night. i read again what i had written and when i was done i looked up at the sky. just to the left of the hills, there was a shooting star. i nearly broke down and cried. a wave of emotion came over me. i think it was her saying thank you and that she was there as we were gathering. i know that she is with my brother and wished him a happy birthday for me. i know that she will always be with us in the wind that blows through the ribbons in our hair and the laughter of the children as they play.

les...may you be blessed with the thought that you are always loved and surrounded by friends.

thanks again for making this happen.

I wish I had been there to see it all. With the rain and 2 kids in tow I wasn't able to stay for it.

I too am wishing that I had been able to come... however I was sent to the wrong stage... and I've a feeling that my final goodbye to Cindy was to be a private one... I raised a glass... and sent my thoughts to her... and to Les...

Les I wish I had been able to give you a hug... another time...

Janie, you're welcome for the hug. It was a good memorial. I think Cindy would have been proud of all of us that showed. I met new people, saw old friends, and got to share a memory in her honor. Les, I'm thinking about you and you know where to reach me. We'll meet again soon, my friend.

Of course, the biggest thanks of all go to Danielle, who did so much work to make it happen.

loves to all and a big hug
see some of you again at CASA and the rest at Folsom, I for one want a ride on the rocking horses ! :-)

Thank you all for coming to Cindy's Memorial. Michael & I enjoyed meeting all of you. The memorial was bitter sweet for me as I had just started to heal a little and the pictures, songs, music and conversation kind of ripped my heart open again. Oh well when is a Memorial fun? Michael also had some fresh woulds as he had not seen many pictures of her since her untimely death. He did tell me he was so glad we finally had her Funeral. May we all be able to move on and think of Cindy often and enjoy LIFE. I feel so connected to many of you. Thank you Daniel and all that put this wonderful event together. Thank you to all the muscians. Hope to see you in Folsom
        THANK YOU ALL,
        Janice & Michael
PS if anyone feels their life is out of control and suicide is in your thoughts, please reach out to a friend. It is ok to let people know you are having problems. If a friend reaches out to you and you can't help them, please you reach out tell someone and maybe you will save a life.

I still wear the little memorial "favour" from that night on my coat. I, for one, can never forget my friend.

And I agree about talking to a friend when one is at their lowest. It has saved my own life in the past more than once, and I have been the friend called at 2am when someone was at the end of their rope. The love of friends is an amazing gift that few truly realize.
