Hi ladies!
LJ said to run this by you. I'm a member of the National Eating Disorders Awareness Week committee here in Fort Wayne, and we'd like to invite Troupe Kali-Ma (or any individual dancers/duets, in case the entire troupe can't make it) to dance during our "Evening of Expression" on Tuesday, Feb. 27th. It's at night (the entire event runs from 6:30-8:30 PM), and we're thinking of having the bellydancers dance close to the beginning of the show, between 6:30 and 7 PM? It's at IPFW, in Neff Hall, room 101 (recital hall for music concerts, presently), so it has a nice-sized stage. Other goings-on at the event include music, interpretive dance done by Brittany Coughlin (prof at IPFW), readings, a skit, and discussion at the end... And the entire week involves events that raise awareness of eating disorders and promoting a "love your genes" perspective.
Could you let me know as soon as you can if you can dance/are interested? Thanks so much! And if it's not an option, don't worry about it.

Re: Gig on Tuesday, Feb. 27th at IPFW?
Thu, February 1, 2007 - 4:24 PMI would be interested if there were a few others that were too. I actually have that day off already for the literacy expo that is going on that same day in the walb ballroom.
Curious to hear what others think...

Re: Gig on Tuesday, Feb. 27th at IPFW?
Wed, February 7, 2007 - 7:17 PMThanks for your posts and emails. Since it looks like it's not possible to have all of the troupe there (and understandably, that's preferred unless it was open dancing), then let's just not do it this year, and maybe you could keep us in mind for next Feb.
Thanks for considering it, ladies--you rock! :)
