Hey everyone:
I finally had a chance to read all the old posts (although not enough time to look at all the links) and I just wanted to bring up Christine's thread about tribal cues again. Aren't there set cues out there that have been created by groups like Fat Chance, etc? I'm pretty sure I've even seen videos on their sites that teach their particular cues. Is there objection to using something that's "pre-fab"?
Related question: when people are talking about tribal style improv, isn't that different from our balinat (yes, I just murdered the spelling, but you know what I meant) in that there is a leader, but everyone if following her (I mean, doing what she does) rather than what we do where one person is just improving and everyone else is doing one move behind her? Wow, that was a long and confusing way of putting it! Anyway, all I'm asking is: isn't tribal style improv different from our balinat (still misspelled)?
Later,
Catherine
PS Sayra - what the heck are you doing wherever the heck you are?
