Troupe Malek has been performing in and around the Kentucky area since 2000. Currently, we are the principle dancers at the Kentucky Highland Renaissance Festival located in Eminence, KY. We are based in Louisville and our "home" is the Beechmont Community center. We have performed at ethnic festivals, black tie galas and medieval banquets. We are a variety troupe featuring modern Cabaret, folkloric Egyptian and Turkish, Spanish fusion and Tribal style. We are under the artistic direction of Tahira, a leader in the MED community. While many of us perform as soloists we value the sisterhood of a troupe above all else! This site is for general MED discussions as well as general communication for the performing and aprentice troupes.
