Beltania Festival Updates

Beltania Festival: May 8th – 10th, 2009
Parrish Ranch – Berthoud CO

On behalf of Living Earth, thank you to all who have registered for Beltania and are supporting our event. With well over 300 registrations already processed, and more coming in daily, we are very excited about the interest in our upcoming festival!

PRE-REGISTRATION ENDS APRIL 30TH!
If you haven’t purchased your tickets yet, I encourage you to do so before our pre-registration period ends on April 30th. Take advantage of discount tickets and avoid lines at the festival by registering online, or in person at Herbs & Arts or Spirit Wise stores today. Weekend passes are only $45, Saturday passes only $20. After April 30th, tickets will only be available at the festival for an additional $5 each.

UPDATES / NEWS
We are happy to announce an 8th band has been added to our concert lineup! Skean Dubh is one of the most enjoyable Celtic bands in the Rocky Mountain Region. They will begin playing Saturday afternoon right after the Maypole Ritual and during the maypole dance.

OPEN MIC HOUR
Want your time in the spotlight? Have a song or two you’d like to perform? We are planning an Open Mic hour on the main stage Friday afternoon before the concerts start. Contact Walden@livingearthcolorado.org to get on the list.

With over 30 different merchants registered, our vendor booths are full for this year. If you are interested in placing an add in our printed program being distributed at Beltania, please order by April 27th. See our website for details. www.beltania.org

We have also registered over 30 workshops and events! Details listed online. Workshop registrations are now closed.

Rituals are also planned for each day including:
Opening Balefire Lighting Ritual on Friday at 1PM
A Full Moon Ritual with special guest Wendy Rule on Friday night 8:30PM
Maypole Parade, followed by Main Ritual and Maypole Dance (12:30PM Sat.)
Women’s Mysteries / Men’s Mysteries (10AM Sunday)
Witnessing Each Other – An acknowledgement/dedication ceremony (12PM Sunday)
Mother’s Day Rite and Closing Ritual (1:30PM Sunday)

We are planning on Handfasting at least 2 couples at Beltania. If you and your partner are interested in a year-and-a-day vow, and would like to be handfasted as well, let us know!

Yoga Rocks! review, Next.. Taste of Colorado!

Today we played at this inaugural event at the beautiful Planet Bluegrass Ranch in Lyons, Colorado. We had a nice reception and some great food. The new music pavilion is a lovely place to play. Across the lawn, yoga classes were very well attended. We hope that this event continues to grow and spread its wonderful message of love and health.

Our next show is next Sunday, August 31st at 7:30 at Civic Center Park in downtown Denver on the Heritage stage as part of the Taste of Colorado. We will be playing opposite of the headliner The Fabulous Thunderbirds, so please come and support local tribal fusion!

Dreamtime

The event itself was full of gentle loving energy...We played what I thought was a good solid set, with lots of friends dancing out front, many new people getting turned on to our music, and received some very warm compliments after the show. I particularly enjoyed my first time with in ear monitors, I could hear really well. The only drawback was no comfortable way of selling CDs. Anyone have pictures?

Thanks for letting us (my roommate, two friends and myself) do our crazy tribal belly dancin' with you during "Marrakech" at the Kan'Nal show at the Mishawaka on Friday night! It was such a fun experience for all of us and we loved it.

We will go on between 8:30 and 9:30, the cover is $10 for 18-20 and $8 for 21+.
Directions from I-25 - Take Park Avenue Exit West into downtown, turn left on Welton -
Quixote's is right next door to Cervantes just past 26th Street.
