Compendium of Common Knowledge

public - created 12/01/08
A tribe for fans of the Compendium of Common Knowledge 1558-1603, both the website and the book. The compendium provides insight into everyday life in Elizabethan England--food, occupations, games, pastimes, religion, fashion, manners, attitudes, and education in the time of Queen Elizabeth I and Shakespeare. It's a unique reference for writers, students, actors, re-enactors, and Renaissance enthusiasts, written by Maggie Secara and designed for the Web by Paula Kate Marmor and for print by Dick Margulis. The tribe provides a place for questions and discussion, as well as a point of reference for updates to the website.
