Am I the only one noting with a tinge of melancholy the passing of Dan Fogelberg? I understand that he was definitely on the soft-side of the 1970s singer-songwriter era, but, hey, the guy played a lot of instruments and wrote a lot of, what I think is good, music...

    i noted it secretly.

    in high school i was asked by a freshman to play the piano reduction of "netherlands"
    to accompany some girls who wanted to sing it. even int hat podunk setting it was kind of bombastic.

    but/and it was a more complicated piece to play that it sounds and i gained some respect for him in the process of that.
