Upscale Kinkery

Please read this description thoroughly before joining or posting to this group. Despite the name, it's *not* a specifically kinky group, and listings of kink-focused events are not welcome or appropriate here in the threads section. OTOH, people who are not kinky won't be happy with this group or its events, either. The people are kinky, but the events are not.
=======================================================================================================

Tired of always eating at places like Denny's and Carrows for munches? Want to explore some of the Bay Area's finer dining and entertainment options in the company of like-minded kinksters, basically having discreet, low key munches and other gatherings with a more upscale and refined focus - with the focus more on the food and entertainment than the kink? Want to be able to dress up in "real" dress clothes to go out to the kinds of places you probably already routinely enjoy as part of your vanilla life, but with a highly discriminating group of people who also just happen to be kinky?

If you'd rather go to the symphony or the theatre in a tux or evening gown (or at least a nice dress or suit) than a public play party, and to Aqua and thence to the Bubble Lounge rather than to yet another potluck populated by people in corsets and PVC, or you're more likely to be found volunteering your time at the local hospital or food bank than Folsom, then this is the group for you. If you'd like to meet other kinksters, but the idea of events sponsored by the kink community and which you might have trouble explaining what you were doing with to your boss if he happened into the same venue turn you off, this is your place.

Not that there's anything wrong with the existing offerings, of course, or fetishwear. This is just an additional option, that could also function as a discreet point of entry into the community for people who, for one reason or another, simply don't want the public exposure of a more typical munch with its announcements, risk of people showing up in fetishwear, etc.

In short, this group is specifically for basically vanilla events - with kinky people.

Come join this tribe and let's discuss the whats, wheres, hows, etc. I don't necessarily envision fixed dates or locations, but just a loose group of like-minded people who set up various events in different locations, exploring different venues, at whatever times are convenient for enough people to make it happen, as often as anyone wants to put something together. If it turns into something regular, then great, but I really don't have a preconceived notion about it, other than as a series of events that are less specifically kink-focussed than most events now available through the community.

Everyone is welcome regardless of gender, orientation, or marital status. The only requirement is a desire to enjoy fine dining and entertainment, in the company of a discriminating and discreet group of friends who also happen to be kinky.

No listings for events sponsored by the kink community or with a specifically kinky focus, please. There are plenty of other places for those, and that's not the point of this group.
