Urban permaculture commons?

Are people familiar with any urban permaculture commons gardens, anywhere in the world, that you could tell me about or refer me to? I'm putting a presentation together for my city council on urban permaculture, to convince them to fund installing permaculture commons on city parks land in Victoria, and it would be great to have some examples to point to. I'm having trouble finding much online...
