I've got a gently used pair of Powerisers, Model 7090 for adults weighing 160-220 pounds. I bought them last year, and have come to the realization that they spend more time hanging around than being used. I've used them perhaps 10 times since I bought them. They're a hell of a lot of fun, as members of this tribe know. There must be someone out there who could use the more than I do. I've also got a set of brand new bearings that have not been installed yet, but will include them with the powerisers.

Please let me know if you're interested, or if you know someone who would be. I am in the East Bay.

I'd like to sell the set for $295...they're in super shape (minor scuff on the foot pad) and are like new.

I’m in Austin, TX, and before I ever heard of Powerisers I was trying to make something very similar to them for my self...	A few weeks ago I did some Google research and discovered that I could just buy a set. Well, dang... Imagine that!

I am one of those strangely active rock-climbing, distance running, aggressive (inline) skating old people, and I was trying to make something like having a trampoline on my feet wherever I went... for big jumps, tricks, but more than anything else, as an alternative form of transportation. (and NO, they were not coil springs on the bottom of my shoes!) I wanted to be able to run mostly as fast as I can bike, and maybe even go as far – plus have fun doing tricks and goofing off while cruising.

You guys are the only people on the internet that I could find who even hint that ‘Risers are good for covering ground! Everywhere else I have read that using Powerisers for transportation is all but impossible.

I am trying to save up and buy a set, and then as I learn to run with them, also use them as a model to build my own variation that is specifically made for going forward more than going up – because from a design standpoint, Powerisers were absolutely designed to go up, not forward.

That brings me to the big questions: (1) I am shopping for a good used pair. Do any of you have any suggestions as to where I can get a good deal on a used set of the 7090's? (2) Do any of you really use ‘Risers for transportation? If so, how far and how often? (3) Would anyone else be interested in modifications that made them a little more of a running machine, and little less of a vertical bouncing machine?

Thanks for the feedback!

oh, and I am going to post this same basic thing in several places, but I came here first.
Lee, that was your camera, right? Will you post more pictures or send some to me?

So this weekend MT a friend of mine and me barted to Glenn Park in San Francisco and we both put on a set of Powerisers and stretched out.

For the next three hours we jogged, sprinted, walked, hopped, mingled, sat across the city.

Ran jumping grabbing signs jumping over garbage cans racing rollerbladers, all this along wth stopping for a beer, grabbing a smoke, and then sitting down for some Mission District grub.

To get and cover 20 or 30 blocks in a few hours with being very tired is an awesome experience.

I enjoyed that and i want to start the first Poweriser sprot and i want to get some of these events together.

Want to make it happen?
