...to join a burlesque group!!
All these ideas running through my head, no stage to execute them!
I know the world is probably a fairly tough one to crack, but if anyone has any ideas (that doesn't involve taking one of those expensive 'become burlesque' courses), please let me know. Performing is something I'd like to aspire to, but even starting out designing or, hell, being a pick-up artist would tickle me pink.
Please let me know if you know of any troupes wanting to take on a totally wicked newbie.

You could see about volunteering at the Vancouver International Burlesque Festival (www.vanburlesquefest.com/). They will need sweepers (pick up artists) and it would be an excellent way to network.
The Screaming Chicken Becoming Burlesque is worth the money if you can scrape it up.

I happen to know that Sneaky Kiki's girlesque will be holding auditions in march. We are a burlesque troop, and we focus mostly on individual and creative routines, however, we also do group dance choreographies that do require at least some dance experience or at least really quick learning skills.
