This weekend most of the Robson Square jugglers and spinners and hoopers will be elsewhere, most likely at the Folk Fest at Jericho Beach. I recommend visiting even if you don't have tickets to get inside--there's quite a culture of booths, drumming, food and more outside the fence along the water. It's worth seeing at least once.
Poi classes seem to be on an indefinite hiatus. I'll let you know right here when they start up again!

Re: no poi--do Folk Fest instead!
Fri, July 13, 2007 - 4:16 PMHow does it work if we want some private lessons?
Getting there consistently of Saturdays has been tough for me as well. -

Fri, July 13, 2007 - 11:01 PMHey Brian! If you guys decide to do private lessons on a day/time that works for me, would you be interested in having semi-private lessons and splitting the cost with me? I haven't been able to make as many of the classes as I've wanted to and on the Saturdays I have been available there haven't been classes. Boo! -

Sat, July 14, 2007 - 8:38 AMGreat idea
During the week I need to be at work for 1:30. How does that work out for you and David? -

Sat, July 14, 2007 - 4:56 PMHmm... I'm afraid that doesn't work for me. I work standard office hours (Mon-Fri 8am - 5pm). Oh well, I tried!

Re: no poi--do Folk Fest instead!
Mon, July 16, 2007 - 12:04 AMPrivate lessons are pretty easy--let me know when you're free, and the odds are good that I'll be able to meet with you. My schedule is quite random since it mostly involves teaching.
I would be glad to set up semi-privates to cut the cost down a bit as well. Of course, scheduling becomes a little trickier, so it's up to whoever wants to join in.
Probably the best way to get things rolling is to call me at 604-318-3175 or email me: david@nightanddaydance.com.
See you soon!
