I'm a bit of a newb here. Just helping a friend hire performers and
thought this was a good place to start. ~ Derek)

Fire-free performers wanted. Incidental / crowd wandering
entertainment for the World's Ultimate (Frisbee) Championships party.

* at UBC in the new Olympic Hockey Arena

Solo performers probably best. NOT fire based: Juggler? Glow Hoop?
Clown? Balloon Artist? Mime? ??? Something visual as there will be
music (etc) entertainment all night on the main stage at one end. So
far there are stilt walkers and me (Derek) doing poi (glow / flag /
and I am also making some Frisbee poi!). Some different skills would
be best but who knows ...

$150 to wander around, have fun, perform, and drink some free beer?
Price may be negotiable if you have the experience / talent. 3 or 4
people wanted.

More details? Ask Will if you have specifics requirements or
questions but the party is being held in the new hockey arena and
2,000 to 3,000 people are expected. There is a stage at one end where
music and dancing will be taking place. Salsa / Bhangra / Rock / Folk
/ etc. The rink is divided into sections with games, main stage with
dance floor, and a beer garden. There is no stated theme but if you
can work Frisbees into your act I am sure it would be a hit with this
crowd. :) (No - that is not required).
