Hi poi people!
I'm getting a few poi students together for Thursday mini poi classes at the Roundhouse. We'll start around 5:15, and use whatever space is available to us - sometimes outside, sometimes inside, sometimes with low ceilings, sometimes with high. We'll adjust to whatever space we're in and work on building technique, a strong repertoire of moves, smooth transitions, and ways to move with the poi.. 3-6 is a good number of students. $10 for one hour.
If you're interested in setting up private lessons on a schedule that suits you better, let me know! I also teach on a couple of other days, and can probably work something out.

I'd love to join a pro group and start spinning at events and festivals...

Wed, February 20, 2008 - 11:44 PMI have just one student taking private lessons at this time right now (and it shifts a bit - we're having a lesson on Friday this week), but you could probably join us, especially if you already spin a bit. Let me know if/when you're interested in joining in, and we'll double check times, places, and the rate for two students!

Fri, February 22, 2008 - 11:34 PMRight now, Fridays at 5:15 are really good. I'm at the Roundhouse Community Centre on those days already, so I can schedule something right after my class there. For people with daytimes open, I can also sometimes do Wednesday just after 2 pm. Let me know if you have any other times in mind, and we can set something up!
