CHOCMOD Truffettes de France Organic chocolate truffles are vegan and amazingly delicious!
www.bluefrogchocolates.com/page...tml#3
this website seems to carry the truffles but there is nothing about the ingredients.
The ones I buy at my local health food store (here in Toronto, Canada) are in a green box and they are about 9 bucks for 250 grams.
Which is pretty good for delicious organic truffles.
Not sure if your local store can carry it, ask them to contact the manufacturers.
Their website doesn't seem to work, but it's supposed to be www.chocmod.com email info@chocmod.com
and if you need me to send them an email in french for you let me know ;-)
Antoine.

Re: Best truffles
Tue, December 6, 2005 - 4:28 PMNo.
that's the thing that's frustrating about that website, there is no ingredients lists...you would think that since they are selling FOOD they would at least include an ingredients list?
anyway.
I know the truffles that I buy at my local health food store are vegan but it doesn't state vegan on the box, I just know by reading the ingredients list, so since they don't actually state vegan, I doubt that they are a vegan company....but I may be wrong.
The ones I get retail are everywhere here in Toronto now, because they are ssoooo popular, they are spreading, pretty much every organic food store and health food store is carrying them now, so I'm sure that if you havbe a good relationship with your health food store you could ask them to order them.
I mean if they ship to Toronto they must ship to the States to right?
In the meantime I'll fire them out an email in french (they may respond faster) and let you know what they say.
Take care.

Tue, December 6, 2005 - 4:30 PMACTUALLY
I just realized by looking at the box that they MUST sell to the States, because on the box there is a USDA ORGANIC label. -

Re: Best truffles
Mon, April 17, 2006 - 2:13 PMHas anyone here tried booja booja truffles, because they are DIVINE!! They won all sorts of awards for best tasting truffles (non-dairy, organic, including dairy) and they are all fair-trade organic vegan
however, I am pretty sure they are only sold in stores in the UK unless you order them online, but they are worth every penny and every second of your time !!!! -

Re: Best truffles
Mon, April 17, 2006 - 2:19 PMYou're certainly welcome! My favorite flavors are the hazelnut and flambeed banana..
The banana ones aren't banana-y at all they just have a perfect texture like a ganache in the middle
AHH I'm craving chocolate!
