I am 46 and have gone through menopause :) but oh my aching joints! have tried veggi alternatives and at present taking advocado oil (and eating them) What about flax oil? does it really work? I get so stiff, especially after being in one position for too long! thanks :)

Re: Any 'recipes' for achy joints?
Fri, May 22, 2009 - 1:59 PMMandy, try to find a supplement that has glucosamine, chondroitin, boswellia and sea cucumber. There is one I take from NOW industries called Joint Support. Also, take up yoga. Stretching and strengthening the muscles and ligaments really supports those aging joints.

Sun, May 24, 2009 - 8:45 AMI agree, yoga will help you! also try eliminating sugars from your diet, and adding more water.
also, an old jamaican wives' tale is to eat lots of okra for joint fluidity; the slimy-ness of the okra is supposed to help your own joint lubrication. -
