Hi All -
I'm winding down very soon from a 10 day fast (currently on Day 7!) on the Master Cleanse and seeking your recipes for a strictly vegetable soup to help me assimilate back to solid foods. Care to share?
Thanks!

Re: do you have a good post-Master Cleanse vegetable soup recipe?
Fri, June 19, 2009 - 3:20 PMOde to Asparagus
hot saute about 12 min:
-2 leeks, sliced thin
-a few shallots, sliced thin
-2 T butter
stir in 1-2 T flour off heat until fully incorporated
add & simmer another 12 min:
-1 big bunch asparagus, top halves only, chopped
-1 bay leaf
-1 quart broth
-lots of Beau Monde, which is a Spice Island proprietary blend consisting mostly of celery salt
-lots of pepper - both white & black are good
-2T fines herbes
Blend in 2 batches for a good minute each. Return to the stove and add more salt or Beau Monde as needed.
I've been making this at least weekly for a couple months now. Get it while you can!

Re: do you have a good post-Master Cleanse vegetable soup recipe?
Sat, June 20, 2009 - 9:10 AMHere's a good mild but flavorful nourishing soup for post-cleanse:
* 1 head cabbage, shredded or chopped
* 2 large onions, chopped
* 16-28 ounces canned tomatoes, chopped (recommend fire-roasted, less acidic)
* 2 green peppers
* 4 stalks celery
* black pepper
* any fresh herb(s) of your choice, chopped
* 6 carrots, sliced
* 1/2 pound green beans, sliced on diagonal
* 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar (optional)
Put all vegetables in a big pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil and boil gently for 10 minutes. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer until all the vegetables are soft. Stir in the black pepper and chopped herbs.
