Tuesday Hafla

Hello everyone,

I have Hafla in my classroom sometime during "break weeks" between sessions. Come on over if you can! I'm sorry I should have thought to cross post sooner..anyway....

When: Tues, Septerber 5----6:30 (sharp!) to 9:00
Who: Dancers and enthusiasts of Middle Eastern dance
Where: Oak Park Ice Arena at the corner of Alpine & Alvarado in Stockton
Address is: 3545 Alvarado Street (in Oak Park)
What (to bring): It's a potluck so bring finger food, a costume to show
off, and your friends and family. Children more than welcome!
Why: `cause we love to dance!

I'll bring drinks, and paper goods

Please call me at 957 9020 if you need directions. I will be in woodland until monday, though! It's pretty easy to get to, though.

Name Change....

Just in case all you members of this tribe are wondering just how you became members of Velvet Zen, it used to be called Shir Shandani but because that troupe no longer exists, and I can't just delete a tribe, I thought I would rename it in honor of my new student troupe Velvet Zen! We had our first performance together at Tribal Fest 6 on Sunday May 21st and we had a blast, tired but happy! I'll be posting pics soon as well as uploading video clips to www.youtube.com but I'll post another thread on that when I get it done. :-)
