I hate it when America starts a vendetta against one country and then all of a sudden everything it creates is labeled by academia as ugly, verbose or extravagant.
For example I see an article here with a huge concrete structure designated as a hotel started in 1987 by North Korea and that it's labeled "The Hotel of Doom"

Some of the greatest buildings in the world were built by absolute dictators, monarchs and the like,
Think of the Taj Mahal built in the 1600's the Maharajah's empire got so upset they locked him up in the Red Fort for the rest of his days after he built one of the world's greatest architectural wonders.
Same with the Versallies in France built by it's last monarch
I think it looks fantastic, a real art deco megalith that exudes power. It reminds me a lot of San Francisco's very pointy skyscraper or Vegas' Luxor.
By the way let's start trade with Cuba already!
