vulnerability and irrational fear

So who feels scared to bare themselves (mentally, emotionally, physically, whatever is your style) to other people? This is one of the most striking features to me about my Venus/Pluto conjunction, is that I have to hide things from people. I know EXACTLY what I don't want others to find out about me, and I keep it hidden. And I dread the day when someone gets close enough that I have to share it.

It might be because the Conj. is in Scorpio, but who else gets this?

For me, its intimacy and love. When I fall in love with someone, I'm so afraid of letting the other person know, that most of the time, they DON'T know until I tell them. Its hard to express myself emotionally to them about my feelings. And here's where the irrationality comes in - I ask myself "What do I have to lose?" and the answer is "nothing, but I just can't do it." I feel like somehow they'll use the information against me, or humiliate me, if I let them see my inner feelings. Or perhaps they'll be weirded out at my emotion.

Strange, no?

I have a question
Are Venus Square Pluto people attracted to other Venus Square Pluto people? From your experiences, was your love interest another person with a hard aspect to Venus - Pluto (oppositon, square) or did they have a easier aspect to Venus - Pluto ( trine, sextile )?

I'm curious because I have an attraction to someone and it's quite strong and well we have Venus square Pluto in synastry.........but this is a hard aspect but I do have this in my natal chart as well...and my love interest has Venus opposition Pluto......so should I worry about this?

so I just wanted to see what type of Venus - Pluto are attracted to Venus Square Pluto people? I hope this make sense lol :)

Hi! This is my first time in "my Tribe".
In my natal chart my Venus is in conjuction with Pluto
(aside that, I´m a Virgo with Capricorn ascendant and Moon in Leo).
Even though I´m an astrologer (I teach and interpret charts) I still can´t handle my powerful Pluto, specially -of course- in my relationships. I tend to destroy every relationship I´m in, mostly out of my uncontrollable jealousy. I suffer so much that I can´t explain it and nobody around me understands it. I have been going to therapy but how can you cure something that is written "in the stars" from the day I was born? How can I use my Pluto in a wiser way? Thanks for any help,

Do any of you have N. Venus opposition Pluto and how do you deal with it? Where is it in your chart....? If you think it makes any difference.

I have Venus opposition PL at Midheaven and I.C. I'm always finding myself in relatinoships which I feel I have a strong effect on but always feel at the same time that I don't have the power my lover does and I expect him to step up to my level, which to he often doesn't realise. I'm never sure I'm setting myself up for heartbreak or I put too much weight on my expectations of him.

Venus CJ Pluto vs Venus OPP Pluto

There have been a few threads about similar topics....but I'm interested to see if anyone with natal venus opposite pluto has been in a relationship with a natal venus conjunct pluto? We don't have any synastry venus pluto contact besides a semi-square....but the composite has venus square pluto.

It's been a tug of war....a real love hate relationship. Can't live with, can't live without. I wonder what are the specific differences in how we relate to our intensity? What does the conjunct feel differently than the opposition? We both obviously have the intensity, compulsion and need to be in control. But what makes us different, and is the conjunct easier to live with than the opposition?

Thoughts??

Some of my colleagues use what they call an astrological alphabet. Jupiter and Sagittarius are basically the same letter of the alphabet, so to speak; Pluto and Scorpio; etc. I've never been able to get it, though...it goes against not only what I was taught, but my own personal experiences.

Still, there are some connections between a planet and the sign it rules. The planet is the player, the sign is the costume it wears; or the planet is the active force, the sign is the energy field it works through...whatever image works best for you.

What I was wondering was...what was everyone's experience as to similarities, versus differences, between:

Venus conjunct Pluto
Venus in Scorpio (thus Venus ruled by Pluto)
Pluto in Libra (thus Pluto ruled by Venus)

I have Venus conjunct Pluto in Leo. I have found myself drawn to, and involved with, a number of women in my life with Venus in Scorpio.

There are similaritis. Ffor example, my ex- with Venus in Scorpio introduced me to a country song that was one of her favorites which I identified with immediately called Loved Too Much. Look at the chorus:
"I need to be loved too much
I need to be held too tight
I need to hear someone say,
at the end of the day
I'll make everything right
When the rest of the world
goes home
I need to feel someone's touch
I've been alone too long, now
I need to be loved too much."

For both of us, love was consuming. But apparently in her mind, I was the more intense person. She once said to me, "Intensity is great, but do you have to be intense all the time???"
It was as though her Venus wore the Scorpio cloak, but was still Venus, while my Venus ceased to be Venus anymore and became VenusPluto, some new energy type.
We both could be obsessive about our respective hobbies.....but she could put hers down from time to time (quilting, fabric), whereas I carried my hobby around with me everywhere I went (astrology.)

The other side of this coin is a whole generation of people with Pluto in Libra. I guess, as I see these people, their Pluto is still Pluto, but acting through a Libran focus. Ken Ward writes of this generation: "You transform in a diplomatic and harmonious way, matters related to relationships with others and partners. You may be obsessed with fairness and justice as it relates to others and to marriage partners. Relationships must be perfect or they are nothing. (extremes). You deal with these matters intellectually and through communication (air). You are motivated by your values (Libra) and while you are normally diplomatic, there may be explosions of anger (Pluto) at what you consider unfair."

What do you think about these combinations?
What does each have in common? How are they quite different?

And if you happen to have Venus conjunct Pluto in Scorpio or Libra, I'd especially like to hear from you.

Venus Pluto conjunction and tantra

I feel venus in any aspect to Pluto demands tantra!

I have Venus Pluto conjunction in libra/scorpio in the second house. I have a fuzzy past life memory of exploring sexual alchemy with myself and acheiving some sort of (awkward and imbalanced) awakening of kundalini. It seems my focus was on learning how to transmute sexual energy without the need for a partner (apparantly books helped- south node in sag in the third house).

Maybe because this is the second house it explains why I've never experienced deep emotional hangups and attachments to "having someone". In my teenage years, I only wanted to have sex with people and specifically didn't want anykind of emotional residue leftover. I spent most of my time either painfully avoiding or "sinfully" exploring my own sexuality by myself.
Now that I desire relationship, my biggest problem is actually sharing and sacrificing my own "space". I see that as reflecting the transformation I am still in process of as implied by my natal pluto venus conjunction in the second house.

For those who have a venus Pluto conjunction what house is it in? I'm curiouse to hear what it's been like everyone else based on the house.

Depth in the Superficial

I've always hated the word "superficial", preferring the term "aesthetic". I've always been very aware of the psychological impact of aesthetics, the feeling induced by being surrounded by beauty. I take alot of flack from my anti-consumerist, punk rock friends for being willing to pay for ambience or expensive food and wine. When I returned to my small hometown after years away, the lack of grace in people, the drabness of the architecture, the lack of thought put into design was apalling. Don't get me wrong... they're great people, but the general feel of the area lacked grace and aesthetic sense, and definitely had an impact on my emotions. A sense of grace and beauty is extremely important to me, be it in a person, a building, nature, etc. Not to say that this beauty is always the standard idea of beauty... industrial neighborhoods, old warehouse spaces, dive bars, or some quirkiness in the way a person moves definitely have their form of beauty, but, whatever it is, I see it as far from superficial.

My Theory on Venus and Preferred Mates

I have a theory, although it may already be a theory, that whatever planets your Venus aspects, determines what signs you have a special affinity for.

For example, I have Venus trine Pluto, Venus conjunct Mars, and Venus sextile Neptune.

Scorpios are my favorite-very sexy and secretive (Pluto, Mars)
I like Arians-very sexy and aggressive (Mars)
I like Pisceans-very easy going and spiritual (Neptune)

However, I have Venus square Saturn

Capricorns and Aquariuses seem like I would have a hard time dating, like we would clash or something.

And all other signs, when I think about them, don't really excite me that much, intimately speaking.

NOTE: I understand there is much more to a person/relationship than a sun sign. I don't think your Venus aspects count for all that matters in attraction, etc.

Astrology and Physical Appearance

If you're interested in the relationship between astrology and physical appearance check out ASTROFACES.com. It's a database that groups people according to their Sun/Moon/ASC with their mugshots. It's kinda eerie to see so many people who share the same placements with the same bone structure.

I've been using their database to help me guess people's signs more accurately. It's actually a study in progress and they can use as many photos as possible to make it work so PLEASE submit yours if you havent already...

Venus conjunct Pluto in Libra or Scorpio?

I like this aspect so I'm always trying to find ways to see if there is anything that will strengthen its effect in my chart (it has a wibe orb, unfortunately, of 7°49 degrees). I'm a Scorpio Sun anyway, so it's hard to gauge how much of the energy coming from Venus-Pluto conjunction actually comes from there and not ... well, my Sun.

Anyway, my Venus is in Libra and my Pluto is in Scorpio. Venus is in the 5th house and Pluto is in the 6th house. How would you call that? "Venus Conjunct Pluto in Libra or Scorpio in 5th or 6th house"? Venus and Pluto being in their natural sign means they are exalted, right? Does that give more "power" to this aspect? I also have a Sun Conjunct Pluto and someone once told me that having Sun Square Jupiter actually holds the Sun-Pluto conj in place. I don't have a Venus-square aspect I do have a Jupiter Sqaure Pluto... I wonder if that will serve to hold my Venus-Pluto Conj. in place?

Newbie.... Venus conjunct Pluto

Hi, I've only dabbled in astrology here and there... so a lot of aspects - heh, like aspects - I either don't have a grip on yet or are completely new.

I notice from scanning topics that Venus conjunct Pluto seems to be pretty common here.
Let me just say that upon reading the group description that I feel very.... something. Relieved? Accounted for / justified? ;) A while back, after having what some people might refer to as a nervous breakdown, my best friend said to me: "I think you just feel things more intensely than most people do... your highs are wonderful and contagious, but your lows are kind of scary." Those words coming *at me* I found rather frightening. So it's nice to come across a whole tribe of people who feel emotions on levels that might scare other people too. ;)

Anyway... onto a sliver of my astrology -

I have Venus conjunct Pluto in Libra in the 12th house - and also Mars conjuncts them in Libra (but sits in the 11th house). If anyone has any tidbits of knowledge to offer, I'd be so grateful.
Or, perhaps, should I make specific inquiries that might be explained by these aspects?

Venus/Pluto and loneliness

I know that for many of you pluto/venus is like big passions, sex and rich realtionship.
In my case the pluto work in the opposite way, like a blocking the energy.
I have venus conj. pluto in 2 dgr. and conj, with Asc. What to say?
No realtionships at all. Everytime when a try to do something about it, i fill just like go against the nature. This continues many years. Nothing.
My phoenix still stay in the fire an doesn't want to rebirth. I think it is cooked already.

Is there anybody with similar situation?

Ruins and Scavenging

Venus/Pluto/Moon and Incest

I've read that the interplay of these three planets might be indicative of incestuous or semi-incestuous ties in the native's childhood, especially in female natives' charts. I just wanted to introduce myself, thank you for allowing me to be a part of this tribe. I am just another college student, taking an educational break to find meaning in my life, and save enough money to move across the states and away from home. =) I have a deep interest in Astrology and its relation to everything, the energetic relationships between all "living" and "non-living" things, and their energetic connection to the cosmos. And I was definitely pleased to see a venus pluto tribe. both of mine are in scorpio.

All of you Venus square Pluto people...

With my Asc, Venus and Mars in Scorpio I have noticed that i very often attract Venus/Pluto people. I also have my Sun, Moon and Mercury in Libra conjunct with Pluto so I am kind of plutonic.... ;-) Actually has all four of my latest relationships and dates been with Venus/Pluto people... two had the conjunction, one the opposite and now this last one having a square.

One thing they all have in common is their passion and sex drive, that's for sure! ;-) But I'm very curious how Ven/Pl people, especially with the square, experiences love and sex, since the square is the most "difficult" aspect.

Is it true that you experience a lot of tumultuous and painful love affairs and relationships? And this "powerful, compelling emotional and sexual attractions" that you have little or no controll over, it is how you often feel or is it to exaggerate? Do you find it hard to stay in one relationship and be satisfied emotionally and sexually with one person only?

I am aware that signs and houses also affects it, but what is your experiences with the hard aspect?

venus conjunct pluto - more of a generational aspect?

I was looking at descriptions of venus-pluto conjunctions and came across this:

Venus conjunct Pluto
Because Pluto spends many years in each sign, and all those born within a few years of each other have this planet in more or less the same position, this aspect is more significant as a generational than a personal relationship indicator. If the conjunction is close (within a degree or two) it can indicate an intense relationship with the potential for lots of passion, but also for jealousy, power trips, scheming and secretiveness.

Does this mean this aspect can really only be felt on an individual level when you've got it within an orb of one or two degrees, like it says there? So according to that, it shouldn't really have much of a discernable effect on you if you've got it at an orb of over 4 degrees? hello - my boyfriend has Pluto conjunct Moon (in Leo) square Venus (in Taurus) and is one of the most difficult partners I've had. He loves loyally and constantly overall (sun venus conjunction in taurus), but seems to have to "blow up" the relationship whenever it is getting intimate, lovely, close, etc. He then distances himself and becomes quite remote for awhile, then re-emerges as if nothing ever happened! I've read a number of the posts on this tribe, and they fit in some ways, but he does not seem to ever allow himself to get obsessive or intense. If he does, it's all in secret. I get hints of it when he says things like, "You have no idea how much I need you," or "If you left me, you'd see that I wouldn't let go." But then, later, he denies that he ever said such things or even felt them! It's all very mysterious to me, who is a very open book triple aquarius with gemini rising. I have mars opp. pluto, which may be why I'm attracted to this fellow. I can give him the space he needs, but I do grow tired of his scurrying-under-a-rock behavior just when things are nice and harmonious. Any thoughts as to what's up with this pluto double-combination? Thanks!

I'm really glad I found this tribe. Great work Zane. Anyway I have Venus, Pluto, and old Saturn all conjunct in the first house in the sign of Scorpio. Want to talk about some intensity, magnetism, stifling, and at times mind blowing energy.

Since January of this year, I've literally had no new social contacts. I felt that with the end of my last relationship being so overwhelming, it just hasn't been worth it. I've crawled into myself for 8 months now, and came out transformed. I went out last weekend for the first time and what do you know? I attracted someone to myself, who seemingly fated, has opened a new chapter in my life. He happens to be a libra like myself and we have the same last name. Odd. The relationship is quickly transforming (not sure in what direction), but I'm just grateful for change. For something new happening. I'm trying to stand my gaurd, yet stay open at the same time. Funny thing is, I've never attracted a person like this guy in my life. Totally new territory. It's been exciting.

Any one feel like relating to this, or to my crowded first house?

Venus Pluto stations

Astrologically, opposing signs
have a rather special relationship....the complement
each other, one being a yin to the other's yang. Taurus and Scorpio are one such pair.

Taurus is ruled, of course, by Venus, and Pluto is one of the rulers of Scorpio (the other being Mars.) When something is going on with Venus and Pluto, their respective signs resonate in reaction.

So it is especially interesting that Pluto and Venus go stationary direct only a day apart. Pluto's station is September 7 at 26 Sag 18, and Venus's station is
the following day at 16 Leo 35.

You may reply that we can't pinpoint the exact moment of an outer-planet's station, and
I can't agree with you more. But the fact that it will be stationing means that it is slowing down, slowing down, slowing down....and become more intense in focus here on Earth. And the days right around the station are the strongest, most intense of all.

Venus moves a lot faster. But in the days right around its station, it is probably stronger in influence than any other time during its path.

Thus, we are heading into a period when both Venus and Pluto will be at their most intense....and this in turn will make Taurus and Scorpio affairs in need of much more attention than normal.

Of course, if these stations aspect your chart, then they become much more personal. But I think that everyone....even those people not aspected by the stations....will find themselves more focused on the Taurus/Scorpio polarity in the
weeks to come.

Pluto--Venus--Persephone

We've talked about the Pluto/Venus connection from many different angles. I especially like how Puella brought our attention to Persephone, whose connection with Pluto is probably one of the most widely known stories in mythology.

Venus, of course, is not Persephone, although Venus is definitely a very strong feminine archetype. But we have never, really, had a representation of Persephone in the birthchart (although some astrologers have viewed the interchange of Pluto and Ceres to be representative of Persephone.)

Now, though, we have a possible Perephone to put in charts. You may know that when Pluto was 'demoted' to Dwarf Planet, it was joined in that classification by Ceres, and the newly named body Eris. What you may not know is that the astronomers who discovered Eris had wanted, originally, to name it Persephone, but couldn't because there was already an asteroid by that name.

Nevertheless, as we study this body, we are finding that, while some of its indicators fit Eris, others much more closely fit the Persephone archetype. It's becoming increasingly evident that one side of this body has Persephone written all over it.

Another thing that is coming to light is that there seems to be a powerful connection between Eris and the sign Libra. Of course, it is too soon to assign a co-rulership of Eris to Libra, but I am betting that, given enough time, astrologers will come to that conclusion. This gives a lot to think about.

Venus already has a powerful connection with Pluto because they have rulership over opposite signs (Taurus and Scorpio, respectively.)
If Libra is co-ruled by Eris, then that links up the two neighboring signs (Libra and Scorpio) because of the Pluto/Persephone story. Thus, Pluto will have a connection with both of the Venus-ruled signs.

And of course, if Eris does co-rule Libra, then there is a very intimate relationship between Venus and Eris. Some say Pluto is the higher octave of Mars; perhaps Eris is the higher octave of Venus.

Eris moves terribly slow. Take a family with a lot of kids, different ages, and they will all have Eris within a few degrees of each other. So Eris by sign is not significant, except in a more global, long-range way (describing changes in society, or civilizations.) It's been in Aries since the 1920's, so I'd venture a guess that everyone on this tribe has it there.

But Eris in close aspect to a planet in one's chart is signifiant, and by house. (If you want to know where you have yours is, I have a page set up so you can find out:

Eris/Pluto aspects should be highly significant, but there hasn't been a conjunction between them in our lifetime, and the only opposition they've experienced since 1700 took place in the 1970's. The exact dates are below, but the aspect was in orb for several years before, and after, those dates.
* Nov 20, 1976 - 13 Lib 17 to 13 Ari 17
* Mar 7, 1977 - 13 Lib 31 to 13 Ari 31
* Oct 4, 1977 - 13 Lib 58 to 13 Ari 58
* May 10, 1978 - 14 Lib 26 to 14 Ari 26
* Aug 15, 1978 - 14 Lib 38 to 14 Ari 38

If you were born near this opposition, it should be especially of interest to you, because it means that your Venus is also in aspect to Eris, in addition to Pluto.

I'm very interested in hearing from anyone who does have an Eris/Pluto opposition, with Venus involved. Where are they in your chart?
Any thoughts on what Eris adds to your Venus/Pluto?

Integrated Venus-Pluto?

Any folks out there who have successfully integrated (or had intermittent integrated experiences) their Venus-Pluto square (or other aspect)? I've come a long way but am still looking for the balance, the mature response to the tug-of-war between the two planets. I look to myths like Persephone for inspiration, but even she represents more of a timeshare approach to the energies. Is there any way to actually blend them, to experience the needs of each in relationships without emphasizing one while repressing the other?

How would you describe your experiences with trying to help these two planets co-habitate?

December 7, Venus will be conjunct Pluto at 26 Sagittarius 09.
This may be a particularly significant one because it is also conjunct the Galactic Center.

(It's significant to me, personally, because my Sun is 26 Gemini 09. And also, because two of the women who made the biggest impact on my life were both born December 7th.)

Anyway, people who have two planets in aspect natally are more sensitive to transiting aspects between those two planets. Since we all have a natal Venus/Pluto aspect, this may be an important day for all of us, in one way or another.

I'd say perhaps we should contemplate how we, each, can best make use of the energy of that day. (Aspect is exact around 10:49 PM EST, 7:49 PM PST.)

Anyone care to offer suggestions?

im just curious to know what the religious beliefs are of all us astrology luvers. Do you believe that after this life we die and go straight to either heaven or hell, or do you believe that each soul lives more than one life: reincarnation and past lives? i personally feel that astrology -which is such an accurate and valid study- goes hand in hand with the idea of reincarnation, and this is why it is so frustrating and disturbing when i here people say that at the end of this life time, if we have slipped up that we'll burn in the flames of hell for all of eternity. What do you think?

pluto square venus transit

Hi Y'all.
I'm new to this forum.... Just wondering if anyone else has gone through this transit and might have some insights to share. It's been a bumpy ride for the past, I dunno, 5 years or more? For the past 3 years, Pluto has been squaring my Venus (in Pisces in the 9th) and before that, actually, simultaneously for a while, because I have Pluto opposite Venus in my natal chart, Pluto was also squaring my Pluto. I've gone through some major depression, lots of dating disappointments, alienation of friends (though some of the friendships have actually bounced back, thank god), power struggles, and just generally a lot of dark, brooding time, self-doubt---especially with regard to relationships... It's kinda hard to share all this darkness with friends----people think I'm a bubbly, perpetually happy, social person, probably because of the Jupiter in the first house, but I am indeed a Plutonian type underneath it all.

Changes in the air

This is sort of related to Venus Pluto, but more indirectly.

Many of you may know that there is a vote going on in Prague this week at the IAU convention, on the definition of the word Planet. If the proposed vote is approved, it will change several things that are listed in the astronomy books, and I suspect, we may also be going through a change in consciousness astrologically in parallel to it. What will change if the definition is approved?

1. Pluto will be officially declared a planet for all time. Yes, I know that it has been a planet, but there was talk of demoting it. This vote would make it impossible to ever demote the body....planethood would be assured. We may find that our understanding of Pluto becomes so much more clear, as a result.
2. Pluto has 3 moons, but two are very tiny (Nix, and Hydra). The third moon, Charon, would be declared a planet, which would make Pluto/Charon a binary planetary system. In your chart, you would not see a difference....they are so close together that they occupy the same degree and minute in your chart. But the fact that this point in your chart would represent a binary system instead of a single planet may mean that our conception of Pluto is expanding, opening up new levels to our understanding. It may go a long way to explaining the extreme nature of Pluto, for example.
3. There is a body out past Pluto which has been nicknamed Xena, called 2003 UB313. Its official name will be announced sometime in the next 4-5 weeks. However, this body will also be called a planet. And it will be named after a creation goddess (like Persephone), from a mythology other than Greek or Roman. Since Persephone has a direct connection with Pluto....she became his mate in mythology.....this body may have a major connection with Pluto, astrologically. And, while it is too soon to tell for sure what sign it rules, there are several indictions that it has a connection with Libra. As you know, Libra is ruled by Venus. So if 'Xena' does rule Libra, it will be co-ruler along with Venus, and thus would be very important to whatever house you have Libra on. Thus, your Venus/Pluto aspect will only be a part of your Libra house story...."Xena" may open a whole new level.

I'll keep you updated....the official vote is August 24. But I'm interested in any thoughts you might have about these possible changes in our awareness. And if you are experiencing any changes in attitude or focus in the areas ruled by your Venus and Pluto, it would be great if you could share what you are feeling or experiencing.

I guess this is a means of introducing myself. I also have venus in the eighth house (leo) sextile libra pluto conjunct saturn in the tenth, venus is also trine neptune wich is in the 12th conjunct my acendent. Pluto is in aspect to just about everything in my chart (including ac dc) except my moon in the 7th house. Needless to say relationships have always been incrediblly intense and tranformative for me and currently in my life I am involved in an open "polyamourous" relationship. Where we are exploring uses relationship as a way of learning and evolving. Relationships predicated on being in the moment and allowing their definition role to change on a day by day minute by minute basis. IT IS DEFINITLY INTRESTING and more often than not sometimes more than I can handle. At one point i was involved with three people on a very deep "soul" level these are not casual flings. Right now my partner is involved with several partners and is exploring the archetype of the temple preistess. Although I do have people in my life that share my veiws on relationships it is not something i am able to talk about in most company. I also resonate with the archytype of sexual healer, for me when i meet someone the first impulse is to dive into thier eyes I want to know them completly fully to swim in them so to speak, again something thats discouraged in most company. This desire naturally leads me to want to be sexually intimate, but for me it is a form of communication of coming closer. So this wasn't intended to be a bio but it jsut kind of came out that way. So wich is also my way Ive been observing from a distance and enjoy the topic and people here and am excited to be a part of the community.

Greetings, Venus in the 8th here with a Scorp moon. Not many strong Pluto/Venus aspects but a good friend of mine has a strong square betwenn these 2 planets. Ive look into the matter and , from what I know, this influence is not inclined torwards superficial relationships.

Im also new here and finding a wealth of information, wonderful to find so many like minded individuals.

As I write this, Venus is applying to a square to Mars (5:59pm EDT, 2:59pm PDT, May 23). I mention this because Mars is currently dominating Venus anyway, since she is in Aries. It's good that this aspect will be behind us, at least, before the following aspect occurs.

On May 25, at 9:42 PM EDT, 6:22 PM PDT, there will be an exact Venus trine Pluto. While this aspect is for all humanity, it is of particular importance to members of this tribe. Why? If you have Venus in aspect to Pluto natally...ANY aspect....you are more sensitive any transits they make in the sky. (So, even though I have Venus conjunct Pluto, I will be paying particular attention to this trine.)

Venus will be 25 Aries 58, and Pluto 25 Sagittarius 58 Retrograde. The retrograde is also significant, for it means that as Venus is heading to complete the aspect with Pluto, Pluto is also moving backwards towards the aspect....so its impact will be accelerated.

If you have a conjunction, square, semisquare, sesquiquadrate, quincunx or opposition between Venus and Pluto natally, the above is an excellent time to try to bring out the positive side of your aspect. The universe is definitely more willing to look favorably upon your Venus & your Pluto at this time, and you should have an easier time expressing your own unique nature than you would normally.
If you have a sextile or trine between them natally, then you should feel right at home...this is your time.

And....since there is a New Moon a couple days later.....the above is an excellent time to clean up, rid the self of old baggage, end relationships that needed to be ended, and try to find solutions to old problems....so you can face the New Moon ready to really begin something new.

When any two planets are in close aspect in a person's chart, the houses they rule are tied together. For instance, a person with Jupiter conjunct Uranus will have the houses where Sagittarius, Pisces, and Aquarius fall intimately involved. Whenever a transit hits his Jupiter/Uranus conjunction, the affects will influence the affairs of his live in the houses those three signs fall in.

Likewise, we who have Venus in aspect Pluto have a special relationship with the houses where we have Taurus and Scorpio. While the rest of the world has a connection between the two houses they appear on because they are polar opposites, they still usually have the events in one house happen independent of the other.

For example, let's take a Venus conjunct Pluto person (in any sign), with Taurus on the fourth house, Scorpio on the tenth. One possibility is that there was a much more intense, compulsive quality about the relationship between the person's parents. Another is that the person's career and home are intimately interconnected.

And, because one of these two planets is intensity incarnate, there will be intensity connected with whatever house a person has Taurus on.

Think about your own chart. Where are Taurus and Scorpio? Can you think of ways in your life that they are intimately connected? Are the affaris of your Taurus house more intensely focused than the average person around you?

I have Venus conjunct Pluto. Taurus is on my 3rd (my thoughts and ideas, communications, immediate neighborhood), Scorpio on my 9th (the thoughts and ideas of others, .higher realms of thought like philosophy & religion, farway places.) These have always been pretty much inseparable in my life, in more ways than I could ever count.

Take for example my immediate neighborhood. All my life, even early childhood, there have always been many close neighbors from other countries. When I've moved to apartment complexes, I seem to end up in the building where most of my neighbors are from far away, even if there are very few foreign born individuals in any ot the other buildings.

Or take the development of my thinking processes. My father had been in Asia, and the house was full of Asian art and pictures, books and photographs; tales of him living in China and the Philippines were so commonly told that my mindset was always much larger than the immediate realm. And as soon as I began to read, there were books all over the house about foreign cultures, other philosophies, even science fiction. I learned to read quite young, and while other kids in the neighborhood were reading kidbooks, and graduating to stuff like the Hardy Boys, I was reading books with deep thought, full of philosophical questions.

Another thing I wanted to mention, something I don't talk about too often, ties in with the 3rd house as the house of siblings. I have one sister, older than myself, and no brothers. But after my sister was born, and before I was born, my mother was pregnant with what would have been my brother. He was stillborn in early November 1950. He would have been Scorpio. Very much Pluto. (My mother actually said to me once that I probably would not have been conceived if my brother was born alive. They had only wanted two children. That was a very intense moment in my life, hearing that.)

And what of my sister Susan? You would expect something quite intense about her, to, if my Pluto/Venus conjuction is shaping my 3rd, or at least in how I saw her while growing up. Susan was born nwith Mars conjunct Pluto, with Aries rising, so Pluto was, among other things, shaping her first house expression. I won't go into it here, but suffice it to say that her life, both while at home, and after she moved out, definitely fit having a Pluto-influenced sibling.

Anyway, think about your own chart. This should be most noticable if you have Venus and Pluto in hard aspects (conjunction, semisquare, square, sesquiquadrate, opposition), but there should still be Plutonian overtones to your Taurus house in some way even if you have the two bodies in sextile, or trine, or quincunx.

I'd love to hear anything you feel is not too private to share.

Iz it just me, or do sum venus pluto ppl find that once they get what they finally had wanted [(in this case, its a man addmiting to wanting to be with me after many months of not speaking 2 1 another. Howerver i still dont trust his motivations and have reason not 2)], they loose interest and dont want it anymore. idk. thats wuts happening 2 me right now. N i have a feeling dat when im scared that this person doesnt want me anymore, all of a sudden i wont b able to stop thinking about him. I have a friend with a pluto venus opposition who has experienced this with many men. Idk it sounds pretty bad.

Being an amature in astrology, I always thought venus is happy in 7th...ummm..lucky me..my love life is secure..but after years of failure..seems pluto square is causing disappointments. Ofcourse "desire of deep love" is there but now I feel "can't have it" is being dicated by pluto. Hello All,

My Pluto (5th house Virgo) is trine Venus (9th house Cap)

Being an older person now I can reflect that when I was in my twenties I made some not so good choices in partners. Eg. Office romances, messy divorcee. Never again.
Ahh the wisdom of getting older.

Art hasn't figured much in these posts but is a great expression of Venus/Pluto.
Or is it just that my Pluto is in the 5th that I work with the energy by giving form (earth) to creative expression. With Uranus conjunct Pluto in the 5th - I love creating digital media/art.
And so Uranus is also trine Venus - attracted to the bizare and unusual. Don't worry -I have plenty squares and two oppositions that keep the impetus going.
