Description:
Immerse yourself in the roots of belly dance! From the Western Desert of Siwa along the Mediterranean Coast to the Southern tip of Abu Simbel to modern day Cairo this class will touch upon some of the regional dances of Egypt. Students will gain a deeper understanding of some of the various styles of Egyptian dance including Melaya Luff, Nubian, Raks Assaya, baladi and more. No matter what your style, this class will add a brand new dimension to your dance and your knowledge of its history. (6 weeks)
