This is a tutorial of the across the chest roll. I've included a few interations, including side to side and front to back as well as the half chest roll. I make some mistakes and my rolls are not as smooth as I'd like but doing it and framing it in my mind and articulating it all at the same time is hard! Do as I say, not as I do. Your hoop should not catch air. If it does, you're not relaxed enough. Breathe. Or you're releasing too early. Hang on to the hoop til it touches your forearm, then gently raise your forearm to propel it across the chest.

In this video I am sporting the hat my friend AliCat gave me. Thank you Ali!!! I love it!

I commented over on youtube, but just wanted to mention here too~ THANK you so much for this tutorial!! Your words were so comprehensible & I felt so relaxed after watching the video just be reminded of the importance of breathing. I am excited about playing with this move! Sweet to have different variations too. You rock!

Thanks ya'll! I feel pretty good about this one. A lot of times I think, "I wish I'd done this different, and this, and this, and this...." This time the only thing I wish I'd done different was spend more time on that transition from inside the hoop to outside the hoop, maybe mention using the index finger to help make that happen... But I like the rest except, of course, for not catching the hoop that one time ... but I guess I have a reputation for one big goof each video to maintain. ;^) I appreciate your kind words and I'm happy you like it and I hope it helps you. Thanks for your kind words. They mean a lot to me.

        Muwah!
