HOLA, my hooping amigos & amigas!!
HOW ABOUT THAT PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION??? YAY for President elect Obama!!!! :-D
Anyways, my energy has been high & today's weather was too good to pass up~ Groovin'Megzz inquired about the 3 beat reverse weave so I made a video on some arm isolations that may help peeps get the move. It's fun, so hopefully it'll help! :-)

Amy, I went to watch the video and YouTube said it was no longer available. :-( Did you have to move it?

Re: 3-beat reverse weave twins move
Tue, November 11, 2008 - 8:59 AMThanks Hiya! And you might surprise yourself if you start playing around! For me, using two hoops off the body is like learning to ride a bike: once I got the feel for it, it became easier to allow the moves to happen through its own momentum, if that makes sense?!
And Hi Kristen, I just clicked on the link above and it worked for me....so it's still up... a matter of timing, I guess! -

Re: 3-beat reverse weave twins move
Tue, November 11, 2008 - 9:17 AMWow Amy this is great - thanks for sharing!
One question: What size are the hoops you are using? I've got some material and would like to make some twins and try this.
Happy Hooping:) -

Re: 3-beat reverse weave twins move
Tue, November 11, 2008 - 2:29 PMThank you, Raven!
The hoops I am using in the video measure about 36 inches in diameter, outside edge to outside edge. Sometimes it is easier to use smaller ones for learning off-the-body twins moves~ I also have another pair that are about 32" for that. They are lighter and therefore easier to manipulate through the air. I am using the 36" because it is about the smallest comfortable size I can use for on-the-body moves, which I am trying to figure out too. Oh, and it's 1/2" tubing. Happy hooping to you too!! :D

Re: 3-beat reverse weave twins move
Tue, February 10, 2009 - 8:12 AMThis has helped me a lot, too, although I can't do it yet. =)
Amy, can you switch from forward to reverse as well? That is one of my goals. -

Re: 3-beat reverse weave twins move
Tue, February 10, 2009 - 2:53 PMGreat, Lucian! You'll get it.....and yes you can switch from forward to reverse! It just involves stopping that forward rotation (w/ both hoops on one side) & then kind of unwind into the reverse. If you have the forward, then maybe doing that will help translate the move backwards! You can also go into the reverse with a 180 degree of your body turn too. Good luck!! -

Re: 3-beat reverse weave twins move
Sun, March 8, 2009 - 2:55 PMyes, i've very much appreciate this video! i actually had my boyfriend watch it to help me out haha
i thought i had it down.. and i came to realize that i think i'm just doing a crossover and not an actual weave..
hopefully i'll get it down at some point! -

Re: 3-beat reverse weave twins move
Fri, March 13, 2009 - 7:41 AMThanks, embrace this moment! :-) I am not sure what the difference is between a crossover & a weave! Could you describe it?
