I don't know too much about the gopis in Vrndavana but I do know one thing, all of them are Goddesses of Fortune like Laxmi Devi. Too bad Laxmi Devi wishes to become a gopi but can't. The gopis positions are higher because they are serving Krishna.

I know a mangala sutra is an auspicious necklace worn by married women, but is there anything else that is supposed to be worn that is auspicious? What about nose rings? Are they supposed to be worn all the time? What about covering one's head? It seems that hardly anyone does this from what I have seen in America. What exactly is the "lucky jewelry" a woman is supposed to wear?

Are we allowed to wear jewelry that is maha prashada, that came off of the Deity? For example, sometimes if one is very blessed she might get some jewelry that belonged to Srimati Radharani, and somehow she acquired it. Are we allowed to wear it? I know in Vrndavana the gopis get jewelry from Radharani sometimes or possibly even some manjaris. And there are certain Deities that are very large that have jewelry that is sold or distributed at times in order to make new jewelry available for Her. There are also the large Deities in Mayapura of the gopis as well.
If we get some maha prashada like this are we allowed to wear it? Or do we just have to place it on an altar? Does anybody know? Is anyone out there? I guess I will have to take my chances over at Radha Tribe and see if they can answer anything over there. Where is brinda? Where is anyone?

In the Bhagavatam it is described how the gopis worshipped the Goddess Katyayani in order to get Lord Krishna as their husband. It was a custom of the people at the time. Otherwise they had no real interest in worshipping the Goddess.
Srimati Radharani, Lord Krishna's consort, spoke to a bumblebee out of the madness of separation but devotees do not try to follow in her footsteps by talking to bumblebees out of madness or out of love.
Radharani also visited the temple of the Sun God on Sundays, which was a family tradition. But again, she used that visit as an opportunity to see Krishna, who would sometimes devise means to get to see her at that time.
So demigods or bees, both can be used equally in order to gain Krishna's association. But demigods seem to work better.
