Welcome to the Visionary Poetry writing group!

I conceptualize Visionary Poetry as poetry and prose that translates spiritual landscapes that we "discover" through inner journey undertaken by intuition, meditation, psychedelics, etc.

This concept is deriven from the visual art subgenre dubbed Visionary Art. Examples of this art form can be found by viewing some of my favorite visionary artist's work:

Much like these artists use the brush to transform their visions to canvas. We use the keyboard to actualize our concepts into words.

The intent of this forum is to have a meeting ground for poets and aspiring poets that write about things we feel deep in our soul that are sometimes hard to conceptualize. It is also a place to offer encouragement and help to actualize the vision our poems attempt to convey - i.e. does it only make sense to me? As well as some reviews from fellow poets for our latest creations!
