Amazing conservation breaks.

Just found these three brilliant links for amazing conservation opportunities.

www.ecovolunteer.org.uk

www.conservationafrica.net

www.wwoof.org

There's got to be something for everyone here. From organic farm weekends (national or international) to three months on an African game reserve. Whatever your skills, theres something to offer as a ecovolunteer.

If anyone on this tribe gets to one of these placements. Wire us your feedback. Good luck all!

Voluntourism in Hawaii

i am interested in establishing a voluntourism program in hawaii, specifically on the island of maui.

This would involve travellers staying in relatively cheap and rustic conditions and performing environmental service projects during their stay. I have several connections with non-profits on maui that would welcome participants with open arms...

these include;

Maui Coastal land Trust (mauicoastallandtrust.org)
National Tropical Botanical Gardens (ntbg.org)
Hawaii Nature Center (hawaiinaturecenter.org)

Many others!

Just getting underway, but i see no reason we can't completely transform the way people travel in hawaii...why just sit and sip mai tai's when we can commune with mother earth and give back!

Get your hands dirty and heart opened!
