Crowley states that every intentional act is a magikal act, or really any action at all.
To me Magik is just science yet unexplained by therums or mathmatical equations.....
Its real, it works and it yeilds great benefit or harm

it is a personal path and varies greatly from person to person.

while some might prefer ritaulistic magik, others take it as it comes and follow only there heart to guide them.

I just wanted to throw this out there and see what you all think, and get your ideas and input on this subject.

I think most people are performing more magic(k) than they are consciously aware of doing...
in fact, I suspect that some of the most powerful magicians are completely unconscious of their own power.

They just do what they do.

    love all-ways,

Ritualistic magik seems to me to be someone else's method. I feel we all have our own majik, same as our own personality. Perhaps ritual gives us all a way to work together in focus. I would rather be me, free and unhindered.

Hm. Didn't find it that way.

Typically I find carefully reasoned things that work more interesting that incoherent things that don't, though....

Crowley is fun for the head-explody - kind of like later Nietzsche writings - he's full of shit and makes no sense but it's fun just to read his ravings. At the end of the day I just find him a bore, myself; Regardie was a scholar.

Crowley should have gotten more into creative endeavors; he had balls and certainly the ego for it, just.... nothing much to say, I guess, beyond his first few spurts of material. Again like Nietzsche.

Doing Crowley's bidding seems like the pastime for dabblers. Regardie's work - though more scholarly than intuitive - was for building understanding of process, not setting down a rote. It's always interesting to me when thelemites &c pooh pooh him - I always imagine it's because there are no comic books or rock anthems dedicated to him.

Enh. To all their own, I suppose. At the end of the day, both men's work and the vast preponderance of related material as well - all make believe. :)

Fair enouph. Myself, i just find regardie to be repeating what was already said, which in turn, spawns more people who repeat regardie. The typhonian OTO suited my tastes, and expands on original materials, while creating new ones as well. But, i was tracing hexagrams at the age of 16, so the ceremonialism route has long become boring.
