how about creating a religion in your own image? god and satan get so fucking old, after awhile. apes and peoples are related genetically, but socially, we created different societies over the last millenium or two, i don't think either was more pitiful than the other. Its european dualistic thought. that kind of thought, while popular in some quarters, really is not a prevelant theme, no matter what western culture or the church, or pagan group says so, in the larger picture of the world and its inhabitants.

My son, knowing I was married to his father by Tim LaHaye, and Jerry was my youth pastor at Scott Memorial Baptist Church in San Diego, gave me a copy of the Left Behind book they co-wrote. When I stated I really could have written the book myself if I believed such theology, he told me it was great science fiction fantasy. Well, it isn't great, it was boring. The point being, all of us grown up in the Judeo/Christian/Muslim religions of a monotheistic god, who have "woken up" and left our spirituality of origin are recovering or recovered. I celebrate us! We took our spirituality serious, having found our own truths. We acted with courage to leave in the face of the fears we were taught would haunt us if we did so. Without a caring support network of each other, we will suffer more than we need to.
