It's great to have a few more join in. I went to Dawn O'Brien's workshop of her choreography to Gogol Bordello's "Start Wearing Purple" last Sunday which was great fun. I am still not sure if I will make it to the Harem Afternoon tomorrow, so have a lovely time if you are.

Re: We're all the way up to 11!
Mon, February 4, 2008 - 2:57 PMHi Euginia -
WADA is not exclusively Tribal at all. Maybe it's coming across that way because of my personal interests. WADA is an acronym for the Wessex Arabic Dance Association and is a group of people (mainly in the central south of England) who come together out of love for Middle Eastern dance, music, culture, etc. I am the moderator, but my various personal interests are not neccessarily what WADA is exclusively all about. We organise workshops, haflas, shows, etc and try to be conspicuous at events like Majma, Tribalondon, Bellydance Congress, and so on so people can connect with us and not feel like they've turned up to something all alone. I hope that's made that clearer. I will be at Tribalondon, and quite a few of us will be at Majma. We try to remember to wear our distinctive WADA camel badges so folk might recognise us. So if you're at an event and see one of us, please say Hi. -

WADA
Wed, April 9, 2008 - 6:38 AMHi Eugenia,
WADA is NOT about Tribal; in fact, it is mainly centred around 'traditional' Arabic Dance....have you heard about our showcase on April 26th in Salisbury?
'Pictures in an Arabian Galler' - it should be a great and varied show!
We are hoping to have a famous Tribal teacher for our XMAS hafla!
Heikex
