Putting the word out that benevolent landowners in West Seattle have granted access to 2 large lots that have the potential to be transformed into into an oasis of real farming in the midst of the city.

Contact me, I'm serious! if you want to hear about how you can take action to grow food near you. You just need a day off and one or two late evenings a week, and come summer you'll have so much produce you'll be chewin on ways just so it doesn't go to waste.

Thanks, Y'all-

So did this ever materialize? I started a garden in my very large side yard this year (2009) and really enjoyed it but would not mind tending a larger space if this was still going and available and nearby. Live in West Seattle in Fauntlee Hills.

I really enjoyed getting fresh veggies as we spent the summer cooking our way through "The Art of Simple Cooking" by Alice Waters in much the same fashion as "Julie and Julia" except I didn't blog my experiences.
