Re: booking possibilities
Sun, May 11, 2008 - 11:31 PMAs a basic approach, we aren't a 'venue' - it takes a lot to push us over the threshold into wanting to clean everything up, putting away ALL construction projects and pretty much getting in everybody's way who has a shop/works here. Here are some things to think about...
1) The only agency that ever sells alcohol here is Watershed Cafe and Tool Shed, the non-profit.
2) Events held here for money never make money.
3) There's no standard price or price/head that it 'costs' to throw an event here
4) Daytime/24 hour community work/build projects take all precedence
5) then comes meetings/daytime gatherings of people
6) then comes evening gatherings of people
7) then comes evening gatherings of people with alcohol who know each other for free
8) then comes evening gatherings of people with acohol that go late, or have sales of alcohol
9) then comes gatherings of strangers.
Unless you can answer quickly and easily (ie: less than 30 seconds) what your people will _make_ as a result of the event, the answer is probably 'no'.
Bring us a construction project! and we'll put the music on while we build and work!
