Re: 11 / 07
Sat, November 7, 2009 - 9:28 PMToday has been another special day because my niece Mary's group, Wildflower Weed and friends, performed at Mondo, a great spot for food, drink, and live music in Sonoma.
Early breaky of yogurt and berries.
So then i had a small lunch earlier with my friend Kathy at Mary's Pizza Shack: their great mixed salad with vinegar and oil (I love the cruets, so I can do the ceremony of mixing myself) and a nice local St. Jean chardonnay (umm, for a starter I had a "Sinatra" cocktail, a dirty martini with two olives stuffed with blue cheese, looking like ol' blue eyes himself!
Then when I went to Mondo this evening, Kathy couldn't make it, so my friend Linda and her friend Laura joined me and my sister, Rosemary, Mary's mom, and I shared starters of roasted brussels sprouts with pancetta and peccorino romano, and their great French fries, and a glass of a new Sonoma beer (now Sonoma is coming out with something other than wines) Sonoma Kriek, a dark wheat barrel aged with tart cherries, 5.6% alc. For my entree I had their pulled pork sandwich and a glass of Sebastiani Sonoma Coast pinot noir. I finished off their second set with something I learned from my young Swiss cousins when we visited them two summers ago, almost like Jägermeister or Fernet Branca: two shots of Untermeyer bitters in a big glass of cola and ice! Delicious and settling! -

Sat, November 7, 2009 - 9:54 PMMe too!
Too slothful to walk to the shops, so I cooked lunch - marinara, spinach (both frozen), mushrooms and tomato sauce (half a tin of tomatoes, reduced). Thought about having half of it over pasta, and half for another meal, but just *thinking* of pasta made me feel hot and bloated, so I just ate it on its own.
Made a jug of iced coffee - been alternating that with water and juice drinks all day.
Now the buzz is wearing off I'll probably drive down to the shops - car is air conditioned :-)

Sat, November 7, 2009 - 9:56 PMToday started with black coffee. Around noon I ate two Cherry Pie Lara Bars.
Later in the afternoon I had tofu and black bean enchiladas. Then I had a few of the largest red grapes I had ever seen. A little later another Lara Bar, Cashew Cookie this time.
I just had dinner, it was white rice and steamed tofu. -

Re: 11 / 07
Sat, November 7, 2009 - 11:40 PMnice sumatra coffee for morning start, and my usual chinese tonics, and some colloidal gold and silver. Then a burrito for late lunch.
some kombucha, a chicken and swiss sandwich.
i went shopping tonite, and keeping in mind the deplorable taste of ganja butter, i got some nice shredded coconut and cocoa, for making my little tasty treats. those, you cant taste it, and eat too many, hee hee. but, i got to be wise and make lots for winter storage.
I am getting ready, after some play here, to cook a nice (very nice) cod, dipped in falafel and black pepper, with a side dish of spiced qinoh. (man, the red variety is soooo tasty). A little bit of dried lycci berries, dragon fruit, mulberries, and currants. (organic fresh local dried currants only 3.87 a lb!). If i am still hungry, then the tempeh is toast.
and choclate covered raisins for munchin'.

Sun, November 8, 2009 - 3:02 PMI'm not sure but I think I had 4 40s and 4 v last night. I'm surprisingly not too bad off. A little hair of the dog today. I finally finished repotting all 13 of my babies. I'm trying to upload a video I made onto YouTube but it failed for some reason. : ( Trying again.
