Though I never met Missy, I can't think of a day since I've been in California, that I haven't the power of her love in a huge way. I have met so many people that her postitive love and energy rubbed off on and it blows my mind.
When I hear Annalee and Sam and Scott and Mark and all of you talk about Missy, i hate to admit it, I get jealous. I can't think of very many times in my life that I was truely jealous, but when I hear all of the wonderul memories and stories you all have, I get so jealous that I don't have one Missy memory or Story. But I find peace in the fact that so many wonderful people I know were touched by Missy's love and spirit. I love that her spirit has touched more people than I can even imagine!
Missy, Thank you so much for putting so much beautiful love and energy into Annalee. I love her so much and will always take extra special care of her.

Sat, January 6, 2007 - 7:34 AMDan, that was a beautiful message. I think you are lucky for falling in love with a woman who Missy loved so much. Through Annalee and others you're able to understand what an amazing person Missy was (and still is!!). I say "is" because it is so hard for me to think of Missy not being here. I feel her around so strongly. Her body may no longer be here but her spirit continues to live on through so many people.
In some ways this past year seems to have lasted a long time, yet in other ways it seems like it flew by. -

It was one year ago tomorrow when our lives changed.
Everyone stay safe.
I realize too taht the YEAR OF THE HUG has had dramatic impact on the way I relate to others. There has been over 50 times this eyar when I hugged instead of shook a hand.
We are blessed to have this knowledge, this crazy feeling. -

Most definitely! I've had quite an interesting array of responses to my "nice to meet you" hugs. My favorite, I think, was a heartfelt "Thanks for the hug!" at the Mystic just a few weeks ago, followed by the biggest smile! I just loved it. : )
I was thinking about Missy this morning, and how one year ago today she was on her way to a whole new life...and one year ago tomorrow, how all of our lives changed.
