my dad died and I am filled with nothingness.
he self medicated his whole life because of being bi polar. He was finally diagnosised with bi polar at age 65. They told him not to mix the drinking with the bi polar medication because it can make the depression period 10 times worse. But he has been burning the candle at both ends for a long time.
what surprized me is that he knows the power of nothing, he knows Zen, yet his mental imbalance and all that great wisdom was not enough to over come the depression and addictions that destroyed him.
Such an amazing and accomplished man, but then most of the great minds were bi polar, they had strength and energy that is beyond most of us because during the manic phase they can do anything.
