Many people here will know Bounce, as he and his wife had been in attendance previous years.
He will be missed.
p.s. Since I'm reposting this from someone else, I'm taking out the e-mail address, if you want Chukka's e-mail, message me.

Late last night Scott Lofgren (aka Bounce) was stuck and killed by a car.
Scott was doing what he loved to do which was helping people. He was on the side of a very rainy roadside helping out a person who had just had a solo spin out when he was hit. Few details are known at this time other than what is in the article below.
Scott has served many communities by tirelessly volunteering his time and experience to help people.
He will be missed. He was a Firefighter as well as a Medic and somewhere silently a fire bell is tolling signal 5555.
He is survived by his wife Chukka. If you want to send your thoughts and condolences she can be reached at @yahoo.com.

Re: A loss of one of our own...
Sun, December 18, 2005 - 4:06 PMI'm absofuckinlutely beside myself, hysterical that he and Carol "Chukka" were not there......
I need more booze, one more for my homie, and 12 more for every time I puke missing soomeone who has never been anything other than genuine, loved and all my heart is going out to his wife.
Those of you who know me, know I don't break down often, but if we all support each other through this and remember we're going to be just as great as he was and pass doing the right things, helping others, then we'll all be better for it.
I'm here for you, for Carol, and I hope you'll be here for me too.
I love you.
I love you Scott and I'll miss you.

Re: A loss of one of our own...
Sun, December 18, 2005 - 9:52 PMI am scheduling trips to visit Chukka, Bounces widow, to bring her meals and company she do desperately needs now more than ever.
I am looking for people to prepare things like one brown bag of groceries for the basic person living alone, meals read made, like wonderful chicken pot pies or roast with vegetable dishes......things she can warm up easily.
they will be delivered by myself and others who are volunteering and in this time of giving, I am asking you all too, to put in one day, and one meal to take care of someone you may not know well, but who needs your hope, love and good stories of Scott "Bounce" just to get her through the day.
Please contact me if you would like to participate:
Virgin Mary
virginmary@burningman.com
650-444-5655 cell
and I'll help get you scheduled in with something that fits into your already busy life. I know she knows that it would mean the world to just have someone to come and share a meal with, even if there are tears or she doesn't feel like eating much........just knowing you care matters!!!!!!! -

Re: A loss of one of our own...
Tue, December 20, 2005 - 1:16 AMIt's ok.
I'm sure Scott knows you're thinking of him.
Bounce and Chukka both would be proud to have so many friends and acquaintances (sp?) stepping up in every way imaginable, even if it's just kind words and sharing stories of wonderful memories.
