stripper pole/proper zoning

topic posted Tue, April 15, 2008 - 6:57 PM by  offlineAlyssit Subs...
i'm in the middle of building a stripper pole that we were planning on including as part of the PLF galactic speakeasy camp in sound town, but it recently occurred to me that i should ask if that's appropriate or not.

i was planning on doing a couple of strip shows, a burlesque, artsy one, and also a more strip club style down and dirty one, but i wanted to do them within the comfort of my own camp. is this okay?

i just read this over and realized my question may not be clear: basically, it's a sexual activity/display, is it okay if i have it outside of sin city?

      alyssa...

i'll double check, but nudity is quite alright, and stripping is really artsy nudity, so it might be alright. sin city is more about sex acts than nudity.

      thanks for asking!

i'll get back with you later today if i can

        Hi Alyssa
Regarding your stripping/pole dancing it seems to be a matter of how overtly sexual you intend to be.
Burlesque/artsy would be fine as part of a theme camp. Even a more modern strip tease.
However, the more intense stuff really needs to be kept under wraps.
Our defining point is if an activity results in engorgement of erectile tissue (yours or your audience's). If it does then it belongs in Sin City.
This is spelled out a bit more on our website at the following link.

Scroll down until you reach the section on Overt Sexual Activity.
Hope this helps clear things up.

not to nitpick, but the engorgement of erectile tissues rule leaves a lot of room for discussion.

for example, as nudity is allowed everywhere, what about erections that occur just as a result of seeing a wooded wonderland full of beautiful, naked people everywhere? also, since people are allowed to be naked, and encouraged to dance, is there a difference in rules between nude people dancing to DJ on the ground, and slightly elevated on a pole? and, sometimes there's no accounting for an engorgement. think of when it just happens for no reason, or people with fetishes. they make tickle fetish videos that get some people turned on. is tickling confined to sin city?

          just points for consideration.

thank you anyways for your answer, i will keep my strip show on the sexy but not overtly sexual side.

im thinking the engorged tissue issue (heehee) means...

if you PLAN on engorging your tissues, and doing something with them... plan that in sin city.

if your tissues get engorged because you witnessed a beautiful sunset, watched a nakie person dance on a pole, or any other "accidental" engorgement... well, that could happen just about anywhere, right?

if that accidental engorgement needs to be tended to, you wouldnt want to take care of business sitting in a bar, in the coffee dragon's lair, stone circle temple, dance floor, etc.

i think your pole dancing is a great idea! and i think it should not have to be in sin city
