I am listing two Nady 15" wedge stage monitors for sale. Here are the details:

Use as monitors for a larger system or as a self-contained system by themselves.

125W RMS through huge 15" drivers is serious power for any stage monitor, or use as mains. The Nady FWA-15 Powered Floor Monitor Speakers have 5" x 15" compression piezo horns for sparkling high-end. 3 channel inputs include XLR and 1/4" mic level, balanced XLR and 1/4" line level, plus balanced XLR and dual RCA line level. Each of the channels feature input gain control, making them so versatile you could use them for a solo act without a mixer. Line level balanced XLR and unbalanced 1/4" outputs make any kind of chaining a breeze. Master volume, treble, and bass controls; power and clipping LEDs; and on/off switches. Sean's Birthday bash

First I would like to thank the wonderful dancers who came out to dance for me at my birthday bash. For those of you who didnt attend you missed another great set of fabulous dancers who danced for our band. Tamra Henna was our first performer and did a great job she is at ease with live music and great to play for. She even hopped up on stage to do a portion of her drum solo! Deelite decided to take the plunge and did her first performance to live music with us, she danced wonderfully. Aleah also performed to our live music for the first time, another outstanding dancer. Yeli was our final dancer and is the band's principal dancer so I decided to be playful with her drum solo. One of the recently posted pics shows her when she realizes I am delierately playing the riff's oddly to mess with her. I am thankful for every opportunity to play for great dancers and I am always honored when professional dancers agree to perform with us. Aleah and Deelite crossed over the threshold to the live music and did great. Enjoy the recent pictures!

Raks into Spring 2009 THANKS!! (x-post)

So, I have finally been able to catch my breath, get back into the regular monotony of work, and had enough time (without Tribe being down) to get a post up!

I just wanted to personally say Thanks to all that came out to support “Raks into Spring”2009 featuring Zahra Zuhair.

I am sure those that attended can attest to the fact that she is an outstanding, down to earth, instructor and an even more remarkable performer! There were varied levels in the workshops and she was able to make it challenging for the most seasoned performer as well as palpable for even the beginner student.

Oodles of talent from North Texas and beyond graced the stage at Rose Marine theater for our Gala Show. Zahra performed twice, once with Wind and Fingers who added such a wonderful variation with the ambiance of live music.

Again, a VERY sincere, THANKS to all who made our event a success!

Ntmeda night out

The band had a fabulous time at last weekend's NTMEDA event Night out. For those of you who missed it you really missed a fabulous show. Rasha, Yeli, Tamra Henna, and Nadirah Johara all did fantastic jobs dancing to our music. Matt and his new keyboard were just fabulous! Its an amazing piece of equipment for sure! The taksims he plays just have so much feeling. All the dancers were beyond awesome! I will post a few pictures soon.

So for those who want to see great dancing with great music our next venue is Nadirah Johara's gala show March 21st!

Drum seminars official!

I will be offering drum seminars every other month second Sunday of the month starting March 8th.

The band held a photoshoot at Tatika's treasures using their wonderful backdrop. We had three beautiful dancers join us. I would like to thank Yeli, Rasha and Tricia for coming out to pose with us. Tatika's show and what was in the envelope

For those of you who went out to support the dancers at Tatika's show last night and were wondering what was in the envelope she gave me. It was a program for computer, so the band can take a song and have it generate sheet music. This will enable us to play songs that dancers want that we just cannot get the sheet music for. For more details on the wonderful dancers and Astryd ( who is now my favorite) I will blog later.

New year new shows

Well the band is starting out well this year. We have three venues to perform at for the first three months of the year. January 17th we have Tatika's Seminar featuring Astryd Farah demichele. We will be playing for a few dancers at this show. February 28th we are playing for dancers at Al Amir in Addison for the NTMEDA evening out. March21st we are playing for dancers at Nadirah Johara's Gala show. If you have been looking to add a live band at your event either to play for ambience or for dancers let me know. Everyone send congratulations to Matt on the birth of his new son Seth Thomas! He was born around 8:45 pm, 20-1/2" long 6 lbs +/-
Mom and Seth are doing fine. Matt is extremely happy!! Uncle Sean is very happy about his new nephew and is already thinking what instrument the boy could play.

Christmas Hafla

So Wind & Fingers is feeling pretty good about the upcoming NTMEDA show this Saturday. I hope everyone has purchased their tickets. Even if your not coming out to see us come out to see some of the dancers and bid on an item to help NTMEDA in the upcoming year.

The band has booked an event for the next few months and even one in March that is tentative but I feel it will be a solid booking.

Tatika's Hafla

We had anice little show tonight, got to play three of the newest songs we learned. We also got to play for a new dancer, one of the fabuous dancers from Troupe Ravenar. Wonderful to play for thanks so much....I apologize but I cannot remember her dance name. Actually I have really taken a liking to them since their Pirate performance at Kismet. They also did a wonderful sword piece.

The band will be performing at the NTMEDA Christmas party in December so that is our next big show.

Tatika's Hafla last evening

What a wonderful event last night! This looks like it has potential to be a really fun event. Everyone in Wind & Fingers had a wonderful time playing for all the dancers! All the dancers did a wonderful job dancing to our music since none of them had any clue what the songs were going to be. Tamra henna has an amazing ability with live music that is just awesome! Tatika will be hosting another Hafla October 18th so for those of you who have wanted to try live music this is your chance.

Austin belly dance show

For those of you who missed it, the show last night in Austin was awesome!! The band was great and keyboadist was a great musician with great communication with the other band members. Tamra henna did great with Souhail during the drum solo, she hit every pop and snap Souhail threw at her! Show was a good length not too long not too short.

We had a wonderful performance last night. Tamra Henna did fabulous and you could tell she was just happy to be dancing to live music. Matt did a great job making up two songs right there during the pre show. He definitly has the improvisational touch. Its going to be exciting to see how he grows adding new songs. Mary also did great. Had many friends and family come out and see us play.

Kismet May 24th

Wind & Fingers will be playing and performing May 24th at Kismet in Dallas. We will play music while people come in and purchase tickets and find your seats. We will also be playing for Tamra Henna for her solo. Come out and enjoy the classic tunes.
