Weapons of Mass Distraction exploded onto the Portland, OR circus/fire scene in late 2006, fresh from it's home base of Reed College. Now with recurring spots in the illustrious and infamous Batty's Hippodrome, helmed by Miss Jane Power, they continue to rake in real estate on stages across the nation, and soon across the world. Starring Peter Schroeder on fire clubs and floating spheres, Dust Devil Dustin Hubel with his hovering hoops, Wreck's spectacular staff skills, and appearances by Miss Power herself as a serpentine salamandress and whirling meteor artiste, WMD is a quadruple treat to any venue upon which their shadows fall. Their repertoire includes such high rated events as Convergence 13, where they opened for Skinny Puppy, Frontline Assembly, and Faith and Muse.
