I have found through exhaustive and quasi scientific research. that if you go to bed with headphones on and a Wolgemut cd playing you tend to wake up feeling like you have not slept

How can this be? you might be asking

Tis so far is a scientific mystery but data seems to point to

A) you are dreaming you are back at the Renfest drinking many tankards of Ale whilst doing the Polar bear dance

B) Your heart is trying to match the Wolgemut Drumbeat when Platterspil or Eisbarentanz is playing

C) You have developed Wolgemut Restless leg syndrome by trying to dance to Wolgemut in your sleep

so if you should go to bed listening to a Wolgemut cd, be Warned! the only cure for any of these conditions is going to a Renfest in 2008 where Wolgemut is playing in order to have your mind and body put back into Wolgemut equillibrium.

A few months ago, I was planning to join a drum & dance group. The problem was, not only had I never drummed with other people before, I had almost no experience with hand drumming, period. So, I went to my cd collection for help - and no cd was a bigger help than Tempus Saltandi! I'd put in on, pull out my djembe, and play along. Sometimes trying to imitate the rhythm, sometimes making my own, and sometimes (especially at first) just making noise for the neighbors! It helped a great deal, however, and when I went to my first practice, I at least didn't feel totally clueless.

Then, a couple of weeks ago, the same album once again became a great teaching tool. I put it on and started dancing around while holding my 17 month old daughter. This delighted her IMMENSELY. So, I took advantage of the situation to help her learn rhythm and while holding her in one arm, I took her hand in my free hand and started to hit my shoulder to the beat while we danced around. Pretty soon, SHE started leading ME - and was darn near on beat, too!

This morning, Megan was getting a little cranky. I happened to be playing Tempus Satandi, so I picked her up and we started dancing around. Almost immediately, Wolgemut made her...well, WOLGEMUT! She even started trying to sing the melody of "Tourch Brawl" - which is high praise from a child that has a vocabulary of about three words! That and "Pease Brawl" seem to be her favourites (though jumping around to that one while holding a 25 pound baby just underlines to Daddy how out of shape he is)! This album hasn't left our stereo for a LONG time and probably won't, either.

Wolgemut - is there ANYTHING it can't do?!? :-)

I got a chance to meet Micha, Magne and Bruno and they were all brilliant musicians as well as kind, approachable dudes. They're funny, charming, delightful,......blah blah blah....the list goes on for days.

The point is, I should have never laid malicious ink about Micha without talking to him first. Hearing half the story does NOT justify random postings of rumors and stories that have no validity.
I have no ill will towards Micha or the band. I just took some cheap shots. Bad form indeed.

I sincerely apologize and hope to sculpt a solid friendship with these gents. I'm sure they will have some sort of redemption ceremony for me....I just hope it doesnt involve a hot branding iron and broken glass....yikes!!!
Wolgemut will be EVERYWHERE ;) Dance sets every day, Brawls in the
they're trying to get some extra dates in the Baltimore/Washington DC
I'm in the studio finishing up a live disk release from the Pennsic
XXXV (2006) concert, and I'll try to reserve a few if anybody on this
list wants a copy and can't get to Pennsic.
