GOLDEN GATE PARK.
This is where it all started with the 1967 Summer of love.
Its a counter culture established on the sharing of Marijuana.
With that, is included a tolerance and generousity that I have never found in religion or politics.
As a disciple of Jesus Christ I am with the kind of people Jesus hung out with. Its not easy but lives are being healed.

Wed, December 7, 2005 - 3:38 PMI feel the world is filled with many people who never actually live for themselves. They go thru life doing and thinking what someone else tells them. it's sad..and it's dangerous.
I've lived in many places across the country, worked many types of jobs. I like to drink on occasion, but find drugs don't affect me well.
I have surrounded myself with some of the best friends and people I have ever known. I became an ordained reverend even though I'm agnostic. I figured why should religions have all the Reverends...then found my own church (here on tribe) based on music and life in general. I'm a happy guy! -

Wed, December 7, 2005 - 3:49 PMMyself? I fear that all the work we have done as beings is going to go to pot (pun not intended) due to carelessness and irresponsibility within THIS world - the internet. Karl Marx WAS a prophet.
People are WARing (myself included) and it honestly kills me inside. What makes it worse is that people seem to be blind to the fact that we will lose this form, this world, and the potential it has to allow us to communicate. They will use the anger inside, the waring inside, as a tool as a reason to take more of our freedom away.
I don't smoke that much anymore. It makes me tired so I stopped for it didn't make much sense. Funny thing is is that anyone who knows me well can't believe - I was once a pothead. Regardless of this I do believe in the magic of herb. I would just rather be awake for the revolution. lol -

Wed, December 7, 2005 - 5:58 PMi see the world differently - people who love themselves too much! Other peoples problems are just that. Weve become a "Its all about me" society. Are there good people who care out there - yep! But as a whole, I think back to the story of the good samaritan and think, lots of people would keep on walking, step over or steal. This attitude may seem a bit cynical, but Im the most trusting person on the planet - just ask anybody... What touches my heart the most is the person who cares about others, strangers, the down and out - who can see beyond their own need to lend a hand to somebody worse off. Thats what makes me high. -

Sun, December 18, 2005 - 12:30 PMIt seems to me that on a certen level we are all strangers, even in the families we are born into.
Also everybody needs help at times. But I do feel an obligation to attend to the most needy as we meet them.
In San Francisco I see people begging for money for food, but I have seen that food is given away every day in this city.
Its much harder for many to find a place to safely sleep.
