Sat, May 3, 2008 - 8:15 AMAardman is a comic genius! The resident Brit tells me the backgrounds are filled with lots of little cultural markers...Duck matches for Swan... various recycled cans filled with red primer commonly filched from the company stores... regional accents with stereotypes for that area...
Love his films! -

Sat, May 3, 2008 - 10:50 AMI don't know if I can explain it well, but there's just something *soothing* about watching Wallace and Gromit. Maybe because Wallace goes so calmly about his day, oblivious to most everything...I dunno. But I love those guys. I even have a huge, wooly Shaun backpack, though it holds an unfinished knitting project at the moment <g>. And I keep trying to love Wensleydale cheese varieties, but find it a bit too bland, darn it. Still makes its way onto maybe platters when I have a party, though, so I can see who geeks at the name <g>. -

Mon, May 5, 2008 - 3:29 PMThat movie made me laugh so hard, my cheeks hurt. There is so much political commentary in that movie. I really need to see it again.
