I actually cannot believe that this tribe has been around this long and we haven't ever discussed R. Crumb. I grew up with Mr. Natural and the Freak Brothers (not R. Crumb, but equally as entertaining) - and my STBX got our son this fantastic R. Crumb coffee table book for his 18th birthday............I started taking a look at it and there was quite a bit of stuff about his obsession with big strong women. It was pretty fascinating.

Re: R. Crumb
Tue, April 8, 2008 - 5:48 PMYep, there was a documentary.............and a movie - although the movie was more about his inspiration that he used for many of his stories. I can't remember the name of the movie.........."American Splendor", I think.
The documentary was strange, strange, strange...........I remember that he had a brother who was very bizarre. -

Thu, April 10, 2008 - 6:10 PMThanks, Andrew..........I get that mix up all the time...........time for another bowl.
"Crumb" was the name of the documentary. I loved it.
"American Splendor" did have a cameo or some part of the story included R. Crumb...........damn the brain. -

Re: R. Crumb
Thu, April 10, 2008 - 10:32 PMOnly seen clips of American Splendor meself, but that cameo sounds right (since Crumb wuz one of, if not *the*, first artist[s] on the comic of the same name...)
