I miss those days of the 60's and 70's.........of blind rebellion crowding the streets and the airwaves. Lawd how I crave a Revolution. A proper Revolution. Not a one day protest. Not a holiday or a vacation only to go back to the same old, same old. I want the kind of Revolution that makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up and gives me goose bumps all over. Anybody else with me????

Mon, April 14, 2008 - 7:17 PM"NINE TRILLION DOLLAR DEBT" - need I say more?
Calling Al Franken a "carpet bagger" is out of line and what he says about Ralph Nader and Libertarians and the Green Party - I totally disagree with.
Read my blog..........we have a potential bigger mess on our hands come November than we have right now. We think it is bad right now and we have no idea how bad it could really get.
Thanks, Sean............making a mental note. I'm not sure if guns and ammo is going in the right direction...........but I know of the symbolic frustration it demonstrates and I get it. Really. I get it. -

Re: Giving Credit Where Credit is Due
Thu, April 17, 2008 - 9:04 PMWe all play our roles. But what can be done? Reading and cummunication are great. But you know in this lock down surveilance society that those who cross certain lines are effectively portrayed as terrorists or just snuffed out and ignored. Conveniently swept under the carpet. The veil of silence is now a tent that covers the world. -

Re: Giving Credit Where Credit is Due
Sat, April 19, 2008 - 11:06 AMI refuse to believe that the government is watching us all that closely.............it is an instrument of fear that the government and the media uses against us.
Here is something that I am guilty of - put I'm pretty sick and tired of - I'M SICK AND TIRED OF: empty and meaningless conversation regarding the war, the fascist decider, the economy, gas prices, food prices, unemployment, injustice, dead end jobs, etc. etc. etc.
HERE'S WHAT I KNOW: life is about the relationships that we have with other people. It's NOT about my car, my paycheck, my tv, my house, my clothes, my body, my hair style, my jewelry etc. etc. etc.
So, if all of this complaining and whining makes us feel a little more connected to each other - that might just be a good thing. Or it might just pull us so low that we powerless and helpless and do nothing day after day after day. -

Re: Giving Credit Where Credit is Due
Sun, April 20, 2008 - 9:53 AMYour words are most reassuring to me!
Most of the government engine is red tape bureaucracy, everything moves pretty slowly for good reason. I think there is too much information to be monitored closely, but history shows repressive leaders watch dissidents...
You're correct, worrying about it will help no one & relationships are the most vital part of our lives. Viva la vida!
