I am a big fan of this guy.

He has a great superstar look, fantastic athletisism, awesome moveset but given a rather daft gimmick.

I'm not sure how WWE creative and Vince mcmahon see him but it sounds like not very highly. He is supposed to be really really over with the crowd but is used in a way indicating no possible push.

Who thinks this guy has the potential to go further in WWE? Did he make a bad move switching to WWE over TNA?

  • No, he's doing it for the money, that's why he left TNA (just like what Gail and Christian did). He doesn't have a spot on 'mania today since he's still climbing back up the ladder. Yeah true, he's over with the crowd and he did leave the WWE at first for TNA, and even tho Christian did as well, I think when Killings did it, it was under not so good circumstances. Basically, he didn't want to play backstage nice with the writers and creative teams.

So he's back at square one, he still needs to be on equal footing with the likes of Shelton, MVP, Finlay, CM Punk, Mark Henry, Kofi, ect....all those guys were WWE loyal. If you're loyal to the company, you will be rewarded.

i already knew that. money is why most people even bother getting out of bed past 9:00am.

A lot of people hate him coming through the crowd and rapping "What's up" all the time but i can see it's great at getting the crowd drawn in.

Having charisma is alright but getting the crowd involved is a great skill to have that only a few have.
the Rock did it with his thousands of catch phrases and Cryme Tyme do it with their hussling gimmick.

I watched a match on youtube recently - R Truth and matt hardy vs S Benjamin and mark henry.

On another forum, some smarmy geek (like stonecutter) was bashing R Truth saying how much better S Benjamin is in comparison. He went on to say R Truth does a bunch of spinny moves with no real technical ability.

bullshit, R Truth has a wide array of technical moves in his arsenal but primarily uses a speedy moveset. He has his own unique array of trademark moves and the only let down is a weak looking scissors kick.
This guy has been around the block in the industry and shows it with good match psychology.

I'd like to see him at least achieve a strong midcard status in WWE.
      • Well, like I mentioned, he won't get his push until he shows his loyalty. It took MVP close to two years (maybe more) to be where he's at. Hell, look at Edge and Christian. Both started at the same time, Edge "edged" out Christian, Christian left for TNA and now he's back to below mid-card status in the WWE. R Truth has already "jobbed" a few matches already and will probably do a few more to prove his loyalty.
        • Man, now I am smarmy geek.

Killings is a flashy wrestler and there is no taking that away from him. But his abilities without the excessive spins is lacking. He is also sloppy and in the midst of his spins, he forgets to sell whatever offense has been done to him in the past (so much for psychology).
          • Unsu...

I've never seen him get in a serious enough match to have offense to sell to.

It would be good for him to be put in a match with more time and some more story.

I'm gonna browse through some more youtube videos to check out your gripe with him.
