Future of this board?

topic posted Sun, April 27, 2008 - 10:42 AM by  offlineMatt
Now that all is said and done on a wonderful week, I think it would be a good idea to maintain this site just for the hell of it.

The 20th anniversary is over, but people are going to continue to get married, have kids, write books about Vienna, etc. The station is working towards the new tower and wattage increase, and many people are going to want to be able to stay informed about that. Since this site has been established, and so many of the early WRFL people have already found it, it makes good sense to keep it up and running.

Besides, the 25th anniversary is less than five years away...

    I completely agree.

I would definatley hope that folks would use this forum to keep in touch and generally shoot the shit like we all used to do.

I tend to check in daily to see what people are up to, and I think it would be cool to let other WRFL peeps know what new and interesting things we are all up to. I might be a good way to find work or alternate careers with the help of other board members for example.
I would like to hear about books that folks are publishing, movies, or other interesting tidbits that you all would like to share.

It was great seeing everyone on friday!

    Keep in touch,
    Dave

I'll be checking it. I was hoping someone suggest keeping it around. I dont want to lose touch with everyone again. Like I said to Alexandra, just because the anniversary ends, can't we still be friends? awwwwww.....

its the only "social networking" i've ever participated in...

Well on that Note, I hope I didn't begin to piss off one of our potential vomit-arians. Look at What Doth Life? This is all very cathartic & I maintain a dialogue w/ one guy then the next fluidly which makes me confront relevance when in fact I see people really give a shit... say, a message about what subverts consistency...the rebellion I see that ain't going away in a lot of ya'. It damn well shouldn't. We help the fire, as long we keep from being the convergence of these life cycles that peel away creativity.
