We were "invited" to perform at a cultural event yesterday, and since it was a cultural event we agreed to dance for "free". The reaction we go from the crowd was amazing--they loved our look!!!
Now for the surprise...
Today the organization contacted me and said that they had been swamped with calls and emails about us and due to this they decided that they wanted to pay us for our performance!!! Believe it or not, they paid us $200!!!

My classes have already gone on "break", too may performances --we have four this month alone and two in June with a possible third!
However, I will be doing a Beginner's Series in July. With few exceptions, I require all potential students to attend this series before attending my regular Basic I class.

Narah, the piece was the ritual piece--Sophia's Choice. You know how I love choreographing ritual/sacred dance pieces!
At Tamarack we're doing a re-working of our Afro-tribal piece T'yem. -
