Once again, Blackstone was great! I had missed the last couple years, so it was good to be back. Asta, thanks for all the planning you and the rest of the crew did to put it together. I'm sure it's a huge undertaking every year. It was great to meet so many new people and see people I hadn't seen for a long time. Narah, it was nice to get to see you again and get a chance to talk. It's been a long time!
I want to thank Joy who gave me the cloven fruit so that I was the one left with the fruit was one clove so I could get myself a slave. I have to say, I picked a good one! Anyway, just wanted to say that I had a great time and I hope to see everyone again soon!

I had so much fun! I wish I would have gone a little earlier to see the fighting and some of the other events. I think I have been convinced to go to Pennsic. I have to check and see if Bobby's vacation is scheduled at the same time - his vacation would become priority over Pennsic of course. But I REALLY want to go!!! -

I want to go to Pennsic too. :( But just don't see it happening. So I'll just pout about it and be envious of everyone else that gets to go. But at least we have some good stuff coming this way to carry me through. -

Tue, May 6, 2008 - 3:01 PMI'm glad I got to go and run into so many Tribe ladies! Nice talking with all of you! yes, being a Mama definately changes things and I was glad to connect. Hey, Amira, can you send me that pic? I only got to see a little dancing from a distance when I was on my way to finally sit with the sleeping Babe. By the time dinner was over, and we'd socialized a bit with Stahlgeist, he was ready to sleep again. we made a quick round to say goodbye to some people, but missed all the drumming and dancing. :( Poo! Well, I'm glad you all had a good tome and the weather was good. hopefully that's a trend and I can dance there next year.
I'm really looking forward to Pennsic this year. the last two years wasn't there long and didn't get to dance. the year be4 last, I was too nauseated and exhausted to care about Pennsic (pregnant)- was only there for when my husband squired someone. Last year was miserably hot and wet- the worst I've ever been to. and I had a 4 month old with me. needless 2 say, I wasn't on site long- we retreated to the hotel most of the time and were only onsite a total o' about 12 hours. so. with those trends, its only got to get better, right? -

I'm hoping to catch the 2nd week of Pennsic this year, but we're still trying to work out Bobby's vacation schedule, so we may be on vacation that week. I can't seem to get Bobby interested at all. I'm really not looking forward to a week of camping I have to say. -

Pennsic is camping, but better... and worse. :) better because of the dancing, shopping and classes and port a potties (better than a tree and some leaves); worse because of the weather (even a good weather Pennsic has rain) and wearing clothes you don't wear every day 24 hours a day. imagine trying to get your performance costumes comfortable enough to wear all day and most of the night. and because of the port a potties... ew. and your yards of fabric in the port a potty. really ew. How many have I been to now? 14? :0)
does Bobby like martial arts? you can tell him lots of guys dress in funny clothes and chase each other with sticks- it's martial art with a metal helmet. that'll convince him, huh? these thing are hard to explain. :0) -
